Comfort Inn & Suites Airport-American Way

Seemed a little dated.

To Whom It May Concern,
On May 8, 2026, shortly after midnight into May 9th, I checked into the Comfort Inn & Suites by Memphis Airport. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had..
However, once I entered my assigned room and began inspecting it, I was extremely disappointed. The bed was disgusting, with visible stains on both the bedspread and the fitted sheets. I also found the bathroom unacceptable, as the toilet appeared as though it had not been cleaned, with visible stains inside the bowl. I have pictures documenting these conditions.
Because of these issues, I returned to the front desk and requested another room. Unfortunately, the second room was not much better. The couch appeared dirty and disgusting, the bathtub had peeling paint, and the heater/air conditioning unit was missing covers. The bed covers also had visible stains on it.
I am not sure whether there has been a change in housekeeping or laundry services, but I have never experienced conditions like this at this property before. For spending nearly $300 for a two-night stay, I did not expect this level of cleanliness or maintenance issues.
This experience was completely unacceptable, and unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. For this property to be associated with Choice Hotels, I strongly believe someone from corporate should inspect whether this hotel still meets Choice brand standards.
I would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint as well as consideration for a refund due to the poor and unsanitary conditions I experienced.

The hotel was disgusting. There were roaches in the bathtub and silverfish around the walls, the bed had weird stains all over it, the curtains were stained orange and brown, and it smelled awful in there. The elevator was so hot, the metal around the room was rusty, and the clean towels had hair and lint on them.

to not be acknowledge at the front desk, extremely unfriendly. ya don't like a job, get a new one, but I want friendly checking in or I'm turned off. hes the face of your hotel.

Bed sheets, pillow cases and carpet were stained, floor in the room was sticky.

Had to be assigned to a new room shortly after arrival, due to mold and a dead bug found in room. Disappointed that hot tub was temporarily closed.

I have stayed here plenty of times and never did a room smell so bad! Smell like someone had a service dog in the room and the house keeping did get the smell out!

Mattress was extremely firm... Facility could use updated

Cleanliness was not great.

The deadbolt is insecure, and the whole room was kinda running down. No Orange juice and apple juice were offered. Suggestions: breakfast not offered is OK when you don't have enough guests to make ends meet.

1st room was not cleaned from previous stay, 2nd room didnt have any toiletries and towels smelt of vomit

The Room Had A Mold Smell

First room smelled terrible like smoke and mold. Carpets were matted and disquisting. Moved us to another room and found bedbug shells under both mattresses. Immediately left was on the property for half hour.
