We loved staying here. We will be back!
Pros:

The location was great! I like being a little away from the French Quarter - but walking distance to our favorite places right off of Canal St. We got to visit all our favorite places by walking!
Our room was in a "corner' area - which was fine, quaint, and close to the elevator.
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful - it made the welcome to this hotel so easy.

Cons:

I did not expect to pay so much for parking, but I do know that it was comparable to the rates in the area.
The night sounds from the street (even on the 9th floor) were interesting to deal with - yelling/fighting people - sirens - I guess its part of the NOLA experience.

We travel frequently, this place is worth the $$, easy parking, quiet and pet friendly.
Pros:

Rooms are large and Air conditioning is great. location is perfect for dog owners; there is a park next-door.
Also Being, 3 blocks from Canal street, the hotel is quiet from the festival noise, but still close enough to walk to the main events.

Cons:

from the exterior, it looks not well maintained, mostly from the window sun tinting that is peeling off. from my understanding they are in the process of updating the issues.

Great location great price I would stay again
Pros:

Great location, spacious room, great price

Cons:

It’s an older hotel so something are outdated for instance the lamps beside don’t have the updated charger post but that’s not to be of a deal. The shower didn’t work properly like the hot water didn’t get hot but we didn’t report it to front desk. Oh they policy also doesn’t allow late check outs on Sundays or wknds period didn’t know that. The smell of when u walk in smells old and it’s very humid in lobby. However, the room didn’t smell and the sc worked great in the room

Cons:

I was told I could leave my vehicle in front of the Hotel for an additional 1 1/2 hours after I checked out. When I returned within that time period, only to find a hefty parking ticket on my windshield.

It was good for the price, but wish they were more on top of cleanliness.

Cons:

They only came for house keeping once in our 6 night stay :( and it was the first night. I had to continuously call the front desk for things like towels — toilet paper. We had to keep all of the dirty towels in the room because they never came and got them

Essence Festival Weekend Stay
Pros:

I liked the location, within walking distance of the convention center and superdome. And I liked the staff, espcially Dianna at the front desk; very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The rooms were a bit small and cramped, my room didn't have a view (which I was not away of during booking), and when I arrived our pillows were stacked in a chair without pillowcases on them.

Horrible tv didn’t work bed was hard asf. And we had NO HOT WATER.

Ok I’ve stayed in many hotels but this hotel the bed was super hard. The hot water never worked and if it did it was only luke warm you know how bad it sucks to take a cold shower. Then the tv wouldn’t work couldn’t catch any channels it was just horrible I would never stay here again ever. We had 2 queen beds and they was both hard as a rock!!

The location was decent- just a few blocks from Canal Street. Lots of places to shop/eat nearby.
Bed was comfortable.
The woman at the front desk was nice and held my bags in storage after checkout (11am on weekends) so I could walk around without all my stuff before heading to my train.

Cons:

I was excited to be on the 7th floor for cool views- unfortunately the coating on the windows was peeling off, making the view difficult to see (room 711).
Initially I could not get hot water, and when I called down to the front desk, they said that this is not the kind of hotel you can just turn the water on and instantly get hot water…I told the girl that I had let the water already run for 15 minutes and didn’t think I should waste anymore. She sent the maintenance man up and he worked on it for 20 minutes- then showed me that I hardly would have to turn it at all to get hot water-so that was good.
Overall, the room was just kind of dirty/dingy.
ith all the cool places to stay in the islands I regretted choosing this one.
