Pros:

The bed was comfortable & the staff was friendly.

Cons:

The TV didn’t work. I asked someone to help on the 1st night, but there was no volume & it wouldn’t turn off unless I used the sleep timer. Also, the air conditioner was VERY loud EVERY time it turned on, so every night was a restless night.

Modern, fun, and clean hotel.
Pros:

Only had breakfast at the bakery in the hotel. It was okay. Coffee was good.

Cons:

Pillows were too soft. Mattresses were okay. Could have been softer.

Awesome Unique Experience
Pros:

What a great hotel. Unique experience. michael at the front desk was incredible, fun and helpful.

It is rare to find a hotel that is an experience onto itself.

Rooms are decent size and kitchy furnishings. The entire atmosphere is " dome on in and have some fun".

Kudos again to Michael as my front desk caretaker and concierge.

Highly recommend!

Not at all what it looks like online

I loved the location for the wedding I was at.

Cons:

Wow... first off the room was the size of a cardboard box that I paid over $350 for. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower didn't even have a head, just a wand with horrible pressure. The table was never wiped down and still had stuff on it from the previous people, the AC unit was loud as can be, the hallway smelled like weed. The view out the window was an incredible brick wall of the building next door, and straight into other people's rooms. Based off the pictures I saw online to what it was when I arrived is completely BS.

Room for Improvement
Pros:

I visit Chicago regularly for work and have stayed here a few times for business travel. The overall location is convenient and you can easily walk to restaurants and other neighborhoods etc. The immediate area is a little seedy - homeless people on the block and smells of cigarettes and urine. Staff is friendly and mostly helpful.

Elevator was out during one stay, which was horrible and resulted in really long wait times plus crowded elevator rides. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use an upgrade. I've stayed in the rooms facing Ohio St and I was not able to sleep well due to the street noise (cars racing, honking, sirens etc). The old, janky AC unit also emitted a bright light that I had to block with towels to sleep. The rooms facing the interior are quieter but the AC units are old and LOUD (was constantly woken up at 3am by the AC fan). During my multiple stays, there was ALWAYS someone else's hair on the shower wall, which made me question the cleanliness of the room.

Fun experience for 2 nights
Pros:

The Acme Hotel is perfectly situated in downtown with restaurants, nightlife, shopping and museums easily walkable. The Red Line train entrance is across the street, making heading to Wrigley Field super easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The funky decor was refreshing. I really liked the lipstick nightlight in the bathroom! We loved the minimalistic use of space for hanging clothes (those big closets eat up a lot of room) and open shelving for the bedside table and bathroom. The bed was amazing! We were able to upgrade to a king suite on the 12th floor (1202) and enjoyed the seating area overlooking the city. No coffee maker but there was complimentary coffee and tea on the second floor every morning. There is some street noise, including sirens, but the curtain closing off the bedroom area cut that out. Cleanliness was the only small issue we found. The LVP flooring needed a good scrubbing.

Would stay here again!
Pros:

Location was great. Staff was super friendly. The vibe of the hotel was fun. Rooms were clean.

Cons:

Was sad that the Peloton bike couldn't connect to the internet. Also, would recommend some wet wipe stations in the gym be made available to wipe equipment down when done using.
