We booked an accessible room which was upgraded to one overlooking the cricket ground and had a balcony. Lovely given the current weather.
Accessability and parking availability for disabled badge holders. Poor ratio of disabled bays to normal bays, resulted in a long walk to exit from car park to hotel across bumpy potholed surfaces to a gate which barely accomodated a manual wheelchair! Then onto bumpy pavement and road suraces again to reach the hotel entrance. Very difficult to manage and incredibly uncomfortable for my husband. As he is the driver, dropping off at the entrance was not an option
Free upgrade to balcony view.. amazing ❤️
Nothing, all good..
Rooms were very comfortable and the air conditioning was amazing as it was 32 degrees when we stayed. Next time I would book a room that overlooks the cricket ground. Staff were super helpful
Nothing
Restaurant
Distance and pathway to the rooms
The location overlooking the cricket ground where my dad played in 1956 holding the world record of 19 wickets in a test match. Friendly staff, clean, lovely restaurant and food.
The bed was a little small and the pillows uncomfortable
Very clean, rooms with balcony looking over the pitch were spot on!
Nothing.
Location and parking
There was no shower gel and the windows were filthy. That is me clutching at straws though. It’s our second visit to the hotel and it has been a reliable venue for our needs.
Excellent value for money
Early check in available
Excellent breakfast
Unfortunately a member of staff tried to enter our room at 8:30 in the morning making me feel a little bit anxious I reported it to reception who were very apologetic and said they would look into it.
Great service
Lift system
Nice and spacious and we did get a room upgrade to have a room with an extra annex which was nice
It wasn’t amazingly clean in the bathroom. There seemed to be a toothpaste splatter on the sliding door
It was also incredibly hot- like uncomfortably hot. It also started to increase in heat around check out time which was 12 and I don’t know if that was midday heat or if that’s a tool they use to get people out of the room. Anyway we were almost sick with the heat and you couldn’t alter the thermostat
The ambience was very nice, staff was very welcoming
Everything was up to peferction
