Overall very clean and comfortable Hotel within 20 minutes of historic Catania.
Pros:

The staff at The Katane Palace Hotel were extremely welcoming and very helpful. The reception was beautifully kept, clean and very authentic. The breakfast room was comfortable with a reasonable selection at breakfast, excellent coffee and a lovely outdoor courtyard which was a very pleasant place to sit either with a book or a drink or both! The bar area and seating areas were extremely clean and well looked after and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Whilst our room was comfortable and clean with everything that you needed, it was also a little dark and slightly old fashioned. The only daylight came through a door which we thought was to a balcony/terrace area but was in fact the fire escape! We only spent two nights here due to having our flight cancelled so we just appreciated the comfortable bedroom and facilities but would have been disappointed if we had received this room for a weekend stay. It was room 203 and we were aware of a constant dripping noise that seemed to be coming from the bathroom in the room next door.

Ospitalità vera nel cuore di Catania
Pros:

Mi sono trovata benissimo sotto ogni aspetto e, cosa non così scontata, ho avuto la sensazione di essere accolta con una cura autentica dall’inizio alla fine.
L’hotel è bellissimo: elegante, ampio, curato, con una hall davvero importante, un giardino interno delizioso e camere molto belle, spaziose e confortevoli. È uno di quei posti in cui si percepisce subito un’atmosfera piacevole e rilassata.
Il vero valore aggiunto, però, è lo staff: gentilissimo, sorridente, disponibile, attento e sempre pronto ad accogliere ogni richiesta con una cortesia rara. Complimenti davvero a tutti, perché sono proprio le persone a rendere speciale un soggiorno e qui si vede quanto lavoro e quanta attenzione ci siano dietro.
Anche la parte gastronomica è stata una bellissima sorpresa. Colazione ottima, ricca e curata ( le scrambled eggs erano davvero buonissime !) e un plauso particolare allo chef per un polpo arrosto eccellente, uno dei piatti che ricorderò con più piacere.
E aggiungo una considerazione personale: in una città dove ormai l’offerta è piena di appartamenti, B&B e formule con self check-in, soggiornare in un vero hotel come questo mi ha fatto apprezzare ancora di più il valore dell’ospitalità vera. Trovare persone presenti, un sorriso, disponibilità, servizio, attenzione e qualcuno che si prende realmente cura dell’ospite fa ancora una differenza enorme.
Per me è stato molto più di un semplice soggiorno: un’esperienza davvero piacevole, curata e calorosa. Complimenti a tutto il team!! Tornerei senza alcun dubbio.
