Days Inn by Wyndham Mission Valley-SDSU

Well where should I start....the location is hidden. It's located on a street with many residential apartment buildings. The entrance is located where the street curves. There are bushes covering the entrance so I passed it the first time we arrived. The parking lot alone was sketchy. Lots of people hanging around in their cars playing music and partying. It looked like someone was always fixing their car. This just reminded me of very "tweaky" behavior. The elevator smelled and sounded like it was ready to break down. Room was located on the second floor. Getting out of the elevator you go into a hallway that's stuffy and dirty. Someone was smoking while there's clearly signs posted that say no smoking. The room seemed ok at first. The door looked like it was broken into before and did not close right. You can see the light coming through towards the bottom of the door. I paid for a room with a kitchenette. The counters were super dirty. The exhaust fan above stove had a screen that looked like it was never cleaned! There was no utensils, glassware or pans to cook in. I paid for all these empty cabinets and drawers. Bought a pan, spatula, plates, cups, sponges dish soap. If these things are not provided, it should state that on the room's details. Every room I have rented with a kitchenette had all these items available, if not what's the point of paying extra? Anyway, the bathroom had shampoo available to wash your hands, so I had to buy hand soap. Fan in restroom did not work. Was provided 1 set of towels. And when I asked for more, maid said they didn't have any right now. She kinda laughed about it. What!? They are cleaning rooms and don't have any clean towels available? Never had I heard this before! She eventually brought some more towels later that day. The air conditioning never cooled off the whole room even at 60 degrees. It was hot and muggy the first couple days when we were there.

The room was not clean the sheets were stained and had hair in them all they did was pull the cover up also the toilet was dirty I believe it was was room 308. I called the front desk and was moved to room 201 this room smelled and looked clean the only problem was when we showered the entire bathroom floor was flooded

The room was dirty and had gnats flying all over. The adjoining room door did not seal well and smoke was leaking in our room from the other room. The bathroom had a really old tub and it looked unclean.

Sketchy people around. Some seems to live in hotel with dogs/cats. Outside smells urine. It’s not the same since new owner last year.

Honest Stay Review

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my stay. Check-in was listed as 3:00 PM, but I was not allowed to check in until 3:30 PM, which was frustrating after arriving expecting to be able to get settled on time.

Once I was there, my biggest concern was the lack of security. There was loud music coming from the pool area, and guests were even bringing their own grills to barbecue at the pool, which made the environment feel very uncontrolled. I also saw a man passed out in his car in the parking garage and another intoxicated man sitting near the elevator.

With situations like these happening on the property, I never felt that there was a real sense of security or that the property was being properly monitored. I felt very unsafe during my stay and was unable to relax and enjoy my time there.

I would strongly encourage management to address these issues and improve security and supervision, particularly around the pool, parking garage, and elevators. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.

As soon as we got there, there were RVs parked in the lot, people working on their cars in the garage, the smell was pretty pungent.
There was music at the pool, which at first I just thought, it was a group enjoying the day, but it does turn out that people do live in the hotel long term. The smell of urine and marijuana was throughout the entire hotel.

It was not advertised correctly.

It’s was nasty around the outside and they was a lot of unfortunate staying there and it was like a crack motel

The way that some of the bathroom walls and the door was really dirty, and there was hairs in the shower

The hotel was very outdated alot of abandoned cars dirty grounds alot of night activities w no security room was not fully clean and neighbors were loud and had to call office for noise complaint

Our AC was broken, the tv wouldn’t work, the floor was uneven, the curtains were too short, the towels were very small, the shower was backed up and the elevator felt unsafe. The price we paid was not worth it
