Staying at Taj Fateh Prakash Palace - a royal experience altogether. On our arrival, our stay was upgraded to a room that had a beautiful balcony overlooking the breathtaking lake Pichola. Apart from the timeless architecture and Amenities, hospitality was way beyond expectations. Every interaction felt personal, warm, and thoughtful. They made us feel special throughout our stay.
About the restaurants in Taj Fateh Prakash Palace , I would like to say that great food tastes even better with great hospitality and this place delivered both beautifully.

I am really thankful to Surendra Singh, Sumana, Sonu, Sonali, Shaitan Singh, Rupesh, Ramesh Meena, Narsi, Lalu Ram, Gourav, Govind Singh, and Dipendra Singh Chauhan for their exceptional hospitality.

Huge shoutout to BHAWAR at Taj. Attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect. Handled our request everything with a smile and zero hassle. The service across the hotel was excellent, but BHAWAR especially stood out. This is what 5-star service looks like.

What a beautiful Taj property, the location, the hospitality, the people - it was one of the best experiences we have had. Lovely property on lake Pichhola, the food was delicious- the chef Hemant is a fourth generation chef - excellent food especially laal Maas ! Sujata the operations manager took extra care of the children and us , Ramesh in the restaurant - the sunset, laal singh ji by the pool side restaurant, Tulis at the reception - everybody was so kind and caring. My kids feel in love with the people and how they took care of us- par excellence. The view from the property is something else and the proximity to city palace, just the right place to stay with kids. What a stay. Thank you to everybody in the property for make it sooo memorable for us . Outstanding !

Beautiful hotel and royal vibes. Loved our stay here. The staff was so accomodating of our requests and did a beautiful decor for our anniversary celebration. Lalit sir and vaishali maam in the staff were just amazing.

We visited to fulfil my father’s long-cherished wish of staying at this iconic palace. What made it even more special was that this was my parents’ very first five-star stay — and I could not have chosen a better property to give them that experience. Taj Fateh Prakash did not just meet the bar; it set one. They were thoroughly impressed from the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly checked out, and I can say with confidence — it truly lived up to every bit of its legendary reputation.

Walking into Fateh Prakash is not like checking into a hotel. It is like being received into a maharaja’s court. Every corridor, every arch, every carved pillar tells a story of Mewar’s regal legacy. The Crystal Gallery alone is worth the visit — a dazzling collection that feels almost surreal in its opulence. The property has been preserved with extraordinary care, and you feel that reverence in every corner.

Our room was nothing short of spectacular. Waking up to the panorama of Lake Pichola with the City Palace on one side and the Aravalli hills framing the horizon is an experience we will carry for years. The interiors strike a perfect balance — heritage aesthetics without sacrificing modern comfort. We booked deluxe suite lake view room, it was very spacious with bathtub, my daughter couldn’t resist her happiness on finding bathtub.

Dining at the Sunset Terrace with Lake Pichola shimmering before you as dusk falls over Udaipur — there are few finer meals to be had anywhere in India. The cuisine is exceptional, drawing on rich Rajasthani flavours while offering a curated menu that caters to every palate. The afternoon tea service is a ritual in itself and not to be missed.

If there is one thing that elevates Taj Fateh Prakash above every other property, it is its people — and we were fortunate to be looked after by an outstanding team throughout our stay.
Bhanwar from housekeeping ensured our room was always immaculate and attended to with quiet, efficient care — the kind you notice precisely because nothing ever feels out of place.
Our evening dinner was made truly extraordinary by Yogendra, Udit, and Ramesh ji, whose warmth, attentiveness, and passion for the food they served transformed a meal into a memory. The dishes were exquisite — easily the best dinner our family has had to date — and their hospitality made every course feel like a personal celebration.
Rahul and Lalit were equally gracious throughout our stay, carrying themselves with a poise and attentiveness that made us feel genuinely cared for at every turn.
Tulsi gave us a wonderful welcome upon arrival, walking us through the hotel’s many offerings and activities with such enthusiasm that we felt at home from the very first moment.
Taniya handled our checkout with effortless grace, ensuring the entire process was smooth, warm, and unhurried — a fitting farewell to a remarkable stay.

And in what was perhaps the most thoughtful gesture of all, Vaishali and Nikita went above and beyond after our departure — ensuring that a makeup kit we had accidentally left behind at the property was carefully packaged and delivered safely to our home. That level of care, extended even after checkout, speaks volumes about the culture this team embodies.

The hotel’s relationship with the lake is intimate and magical. Whether it is the view from the terrace, the boat excursion to Jagmandir Island Palace, or simply watching the evening light paint the water gold from your room window — the lake is woven into every moment of the stay.

Taj Fateh Prakash Palace is not just a hotel — it is an experience that stays with you long after you have checked out. For our family, it was the fulfilment of a dream and a first-ever five-star experience that set the gold standard. If you are visiting Udaipur, there is simply no better address. A perfect five stars, without hesitation.
