Pros:

The location was perfect, very close to Rome termini and in close distance to main attractions. A lot of bars, restaurants and coffee shops around it. Bar upstairs was alright even though you could not see much.

Cons:

It was a bit outdated, the TV was working intermittently. The toiletries were well annoying. The breakfast was a bit small with not much choice.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable service and treatment I experienced during my recent stay at your hotel in Rome.
While the hotel amenities and the breakfast room itself were satisfactory, the behavior of the breakfast room manager, a woman named Amy, was deeply upsetting and highly unprofessional.

During my stay, I witnessed a clear and consistent pattern of racial bias in how Amy treated guests. She routinely greeted and interacted with white guests in a warm, welcoming manner, while acting noticeably cold, rude, and unfair toward people of color, particularly Black guests.

Furthermore, I experienced a direct instance of unfair treatment regarding hotel policy. When I politely asked Amy if I could take my dessert to my room, she flatly refused and told me "NO." However, shortly after, I personally witnessed her allowing white guests to take food and coffee up to their rooms without any objection.

This blatant double standard and discriminatory behavior is entirely unacceptable. No guest should be made to feel unwelcome or targeted because of the color of their skin, especially by a member of your management team. Amy’s actions are a poor reflection of your establishment, and she lacks the professionalism required for a hospitality role.

I request that this matter be investigated immediately. I expect a formal response detailing the steps you will take to address this behavior and ensure that all future guests are treated with equal respect and dignity, regardless of their race.

Me gustó muchísimo el desayunar en la terraza de arriba,desayuno riquísimo y completo .
Un clima agradable .
El personal atento todo muy limpio .

Cons:

No teniamos armario cerrado ,ni cajones para guardar otros enseres.
Me ofrecieron una mejora de habitacion en la aplicacion de bookin.com ,bañera jacuzzi o ducha con hidromasaje y no había tal cosa en nuestra habitación.
Por lo demás, muy limpio y muy amables.
Serviciales ,pero no debí pagar la mejora de la habitacion porque no traía lo que me ofrecieron.

A welcoming hotel staff, delicious breakfast, and a comforting room.
Pros:

We were staying at a previous hotel that we needed to leave, and booked the Montecarlo as a last resort. What we found was the best hotel experience we could’ve asked for. When we showed up, we were greeted by amazingly knowledgeable and kind hotel staff that made sure our room met our needs. She then asked about our itinerary and pulled out a map of Rome, and gave us a detailed description of where to go given the length of our stay. We used many of her recommendations, including a Gelato place right by the hotel! The room itself was very spacious and clean, with a good sized bathroom. The location itself was very close to the city center but not too close for crowds or lines. We used the local bus system to get around. Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast. From fresh fruit to pastries to delicious coffee, the self-served breakfast made our morning. Everyday, the hotel staff greeted us, and were always available, 24/7 for any concerns we had. One of the best parts of our trip!
