Family resort in great location
Pros:

Great location and staff; comfortable spacious room (we had Premium); excellent breakfast buffet and beach restaurant; esp enjoyed our daily yoga with Mui.

Cons:

It’s a huge resort, but not really 5 star compared to other 5 star properties on the island. Due for maintenance. Suited to families. Loads of kids. And weirdly, the swim up bar is located right next to kids club and water slide. Inadequate shade (small umbrellas) on the beach and around the pool, but we were able to retreat to the shaded gardens around the canal pool.

Pools, service from staff, well insulated rooms can’t hear next door. Breakfast finishes at 11 good time. Access to beach

Cons:

Showers were not always warm, can hear the above room as wooden floors. Only 1 hotel restaurant.

Looked like 5 stars on paper, felt like a scam in person
Cons:

- Understaffed throughout, difficult to order anything at the beach, and orders were frequently wrong across all areas of the hotel.
- No welcome drink upon arrival.
- Not responsive on any inquiries.
- Breakfast is average.
- No towels available at the pool/beach.
- The main pool was under construction for our entire stay. They knew this in advance but only disclosed it at the very last minute, and the compensation offered was inadequate. For a 5-star hotel, this felt deceptive and left us feeling cheated.
- Poor room design: you can't have the balcony door open with the AC on — anyone on the balcony gets locked out if the door closes.

I wish I'd had the option for a refund, they never even offered one. I would have gladly changed plans and booked an actual 5-star hotel instead.

What a place!
Pros:

A delightful place with a wonderful staff of Looknam, Nannie, Jo, Mack and Baw. The food is excellent, the service is the best and the sea view is perfect! We ate there again and again. Best regards Mr Ivar and Ms Benedicte, Norway

Large property, 4 star at best. Not great value for money if you've stayed at plenty of 5 stars.
Pros:

Staff were friendly, smiling. Food via room service and breakfast buffet was great! Small children's bed in our room was nice. Decent balcony in room.

Cons:

There was pretty big construction happening and we were not told anything in advance. This is really poor customer service that they tried to make up for with a small discount on select items. Did not make up for it! Areas of the hotel were even closed. The property is a bit worn, not 5 star worthy. Kids play space way too small for size of resort, but the ladies who worked there were lovely.

Melia hotel.
Pros:

Fabulous hotel with lovely, warm, welcoming and attentive staff. Whilst all the staff were lovely, a special thanks must go to Kim, Pink, Fern, Zena Sochi and Matteo in ‘The Level’ area for always going the extra mile to make our stay so unforgettable. The hotel is set in a beautiful location, the facilities are immaculate and every meal we had was stunning. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Good amenities, although bar terrace under refurbishment for 2 weeks, with little impact but some construction noise. Great beach and lovely sea very warm. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

Cons:

Possibly insufficient sun beds if Hotel full and pool on small side if full. Should put a restriction on ball games in the pool at certain times to give people so time to swim and enjoy without dodging balls etc. Plan shower room usage with 15 mins between departing guests to allow for room to be cleaned as lots of dirty towels etc.

Amazing
Pros:

I stayed here solo and had a really great time, excellent value for a beachfront resort. The best part is definitely the lagoon pool that winds through the hotel grounds; it’s amazing for relaxing. The staff were all nice and friendly, and they made me feel super welcome. The rooms were lovely and roomy, and the beachfront location is pretty and peaceful. Breakfast had a good selection, and everything tasted high quality.

Cons:

Although my room was excellent, as it was on the ground floor, it could feel a bit dark at times.
