Stay reasonably often, love this hotel, it has real character.
Pros:

Love this hotel; wonderful old Victorian building, fantastic location, staff are great, breakfast very good.

Cons:

Building feeling its age sometimes. There's been a change to the car parking to one of those awful apps.

Would be a lovely winter stay
Pros:

Unfortunately it’s beautiful but the stay was ruined by the room being like a sauna and having the windows screwed shut by the hotel so there was 0 free flowing air and also no other escape access in case of a fire as if the doorway was blocked we wouldn’t have been able to leave.

Eventually this was sorted by one of your employees who went through each available room for us so we didn’t have to sleep in our car due to the extreme temperatures of the original room 221.
He then put us in 216 which was a lot better

Cons:

Heat, no air flow

It is Excellent!
Pros:

It is mainly my type of architecture (Victorian). Spacious. Central location. Peaceful. Value for money.

Cons:

Maybe upgrade the gym. Would be nice to have like a pool, but it's not what it is for.

Great stay would recommend.
Pros:

Close to the town centre. Excellent location as we were there for one day only.

Cons:

The reception staff Steven was courteous and helpful at all times. He helped us when we needed it.
He is an asset to the hotel and many can learn from him the warm welcome that we received from him.

Good value . Average service .
Pros:

Comfy and spacious room
Cheap price
Good location

Cons:

the Cupboard rail was broken so couldn't hang anything up
No bath towel
No one on reception when I arrived
Gym Treadmill not working and exercise bike faulty
I parked in the Court car park nearby after a very long drive earlier in the day and asked the receptionist how to drive round to the hotel car park . He said " you need to drive round " a
hich was annoyingly obvious . Then I parked outside to unload my luggage and asked if my car would be ok for a few minutes and he said "you'd better be quick " . I don't think he meant to be rude but he certainly wasn't helpful . And I had to wait for quite a while in the first instance for someone to attend reception .
