Parking was easy.

Cons:

The hallways smelled of vape. My room smelled like a heavy smoker had lived there. My bathtub was discoloured. Although within a short walk of the tourist district, the hotel is in a rough neighborhood, large quantities of street people hanging around doing drugs, drinking and making noise all through the night. Lots of very rough looking people in and around the hotel.

Great location and helpful concierge, but the cleanliness needs major improvement.
Pros:

The location is great—right in downtown Victoria, within easy walking distance of anywhere you want to go. The concierge was also very helpful and allowed us to leave our car in the hotel parking lot for two extra hours after checkout.

Cons:

When I booked, I understood that it was an older building, but I didn’t expect it to be so dirty. The room needed much more attention. There was hair from previous guests in the corners of the bathroom, the bathtub had not been cleaned, and a used bath towel was still hanging in the shower. The bathroom tiles had a lot of black mold, which made the room feel unhealthy. They should install a stronger exhaust fan to reduce moisture and properly remove the mold. There was also dust throughout the room, and the refrigerator had not been cleaned after the previous guest. Cleanliness needs significant improvement.

Good for the basics at this reasonably priced hotel.
Pros:

The location was very convenient for getting downtown, and also for driving out from a reliable parking space.
A very much appreciated feature was the nightlight in the bathroom ceiling, for night visits.
It was good to be able to obtain extra packets of tea or coffee easily. I used the fridge for storing milk etc.

Cons:

The basin in the bathroom had no plug, although I managed to get around that.
The electrical socket in the bathroom didn't work, but again I could easily get around that.

The bed was very comfortable and shower was nice and hot. Sheets were clean and felt safe.

Only just meeting expectations!

The room was good for the price.

Cons:

I asked the gentleman sitting on the inner chair at the front desk if I could have an extra pillow and he said no which I thought a bit strange and he was a bit rude about it. As I was walking to my room, I asked one of the cleaning staff if I could have an extra pillow as it would be easier for me to sleep as I use one for circulation between my knees and two to sleep on to help support my neck. They were able to give me the extra pillow which was very helpful. The guy that works night on the inner chair needs to be more accommodating to people staying there.

Pros:

Everything was good. The room was huge and was perfectly clean. The hotel is located just 15 minutes walking from the Parliament buildings, which is the nicest area.
Staff was nice and kind. Price is good if you think at the position and the dimensions of the room
