The hotel is in a great location and suited our needs perfectly. The rooms were quiet and comfortable and the hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed the rooftop pool and dining experience. I would stay here again if we return to Barcelona.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Central Barcelona. The location was outstanding, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions on foot. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, providing a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit memorable. We especially appreciated the complimentary amenities and thoughtful touches provided by the hotel, which made us feel truly valued as guests.
One of the highlights of the property is the rooftop pool and terrace. The views over Barcelona are simply stunning and create an unforgettable atmosphere, whether during the day or at sunset.
The breakfast was admittedly more expensive than we would typically budget for, but that is fairly common for luxury hotels of this caliber. Despite the cost, the quality, variety, and overall experience made it well worth it, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall, Grand Hotel Central exceeded our expectations. Between its prime location, beautiful accommodations, exceptional service, and spectacular rooftop views, we would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

This was a very nice hotel. The storage within the room was a little bit limited, but we got used to it. The hotel is easy to get to. The breakfast provided was very good. The hotel is in a great location and that it provides easy walking access to a lot of the nice areas of the city. One thing that took a little getting used to was that the bathroom door was frosted glass versus a solid core door. You may consider this if bathroom privacy is important to you

We love it here! The service was great! Right away they offered us whatever kind of coffee we liked, helped us with our bags. Location is perfect. Rooftop is beautiful. Rooms are lonely & spacious!

Amazing hotel right by the Cathedral in the Gothic Quarter. The people at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. The service is 5 star. The rooftop pool and lounge offers incredible views, great food and drinks. Already planning our next visit and booking more days this time. The room was great, contemporary, clean and nice.

The curate's egg. Great location, rooftop terrace superb, CanBo restaurant very good indeed. Some of the staff were exemplary.

We don't think it's a 5 star hotel and the superior king room was disappointing, not even a desk or dressing table. Room servicing was somewhat erratic, attention to detail lacking.

Breakfast was average, no better. It would be so easy to make it excellent but no rolls, no sausages, poor selection of eggs (omelette seemed to be an extra). Service was good, staff friendly and obliging.

Asked for one extra hour on check-out but couldn't get that. When we got to our room at 9am, cards no longer worked. Back to reception, new card, no apology. New card didn't work so staff member came up to room with us and confirmed cards no longer working.

Be careful with taxis. Twice we asked for help getting a taxi, both times they failed. One member of staff said better to walk to Placa de Catalunya, only seven minutes. 5 Stars?

La « piscine » annoncée sur le roof top est un bassin où se posent les oiseaux le soir…( 4 soirs de suite ) . La vue y est belle mais le service débordé

Friendly, accommodating team, nothing was a problem, we enjoyed 3 wonderful nights here. The hotel is in an amazing location, wonderful roof top bar/restaurant and pool. Rooms are super quiet rooms and the blackout blinds really work. Breakfast was bountiful.
I highly recommend staying here.

I just wanted to leave a review to highlight the staff at this hotel. They were absolutely wonderful. So helpful, so accommodating, just generally excellent. Everything else about our stay was great too! Would definitely recommend and stay again, (although I would bring earplugs next time because the walls were really thin). But the amazing front desk service really stuck out to me!

Impractical design but pretty. When I experienced the finer details of the room I found it lacking in practical detail. The bathroom was terrible with a shower over bath, extreme slip hazard and no protection from water going everywhere. Had to ask for a slip mat, this should be standard. There was a grab rail which was in an unnatural position. I was dreading having a shower in this room. There was a tiny garbage bin and a tiny bedside table, both were impractical. There were no working USB ports. All this and it was very very expensive. The common areas and breakfast were very good. Staff were reactive to requests for extra towels and when safe wasn't working. The pool was impressive but I didn't fancy taking a swim with everyone in the bar overlooking me. Overall it didn't meet my expectations for the price

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Central. Its location was very good albeit we took a Taxi to the various sites which are spread across Barcelona. Our room was large with plenty of seating. Our window view was limited and backed onto a service back road which was occasionally noisy. More soundproofing required here. Breakfast covered most european cuisine which tasted good, however the seating is cramped and sparkling wine available could not be drunk because oddly on both mornings they had run out of clean glasses to serve it and when asked they could not find the staff to replace them. This was a theme when asking for something - upon arrival no glasses were available and the right person was never there to replace items. We booked 2 Taxis and on both occasions they were incorrectly booked earlier than we had requested resulting in a large bill while it sat outside. This might be a Barcelona Taxi thing or staff training required. This is an expensive hotel catering for mostly tourists, and we felt they need to up their game with service and staffing or fall further behind the numerous alternatives.
