Centrally located, very good breakfast, very helpful staff - the restaurant is also excellent

The staff was great, very helpful and always made a great atmosphere, breakfast was always delightfull, Terazza will take your breath with it's views, room was always clean and the little chocolates are very nice touch.
I do hope to come back soon

This hotel is amazing!
An excellent location, clean and tight rooms, great food. The saunas are amazing so does the swimming pool. On top of it all, it was the last 2 days of our honeymoon. Vueling airlines did not bring our luggage’s and lost them , Pop and the staff of the hotel did all their efforts and we have found it!

We had such a wonderful stay at Grand Central Hotel Barcelona. After arriving Thursday morning following an overnight journey, we were so grateful that our rooms were ready right away. The staff immediately came out to help with our bags and took them directly to each of our rooms, which made check-in feel effortless.

What really stood out to us was how kind and thoughtful the front desk staff were. They were very courteous, professional, and clearly understood that we were tired from traveling. They offered us cold water and cool towels, which was such a welcoming touch, and gave us all the information we needed about breakfast and the hotel.

Our room was beautifully appointed, spotless, and very well organized. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was obvious that the hotel takes great care in maintaining a clean and relaxing environment.

Throughout our stay, the staff was always quick to help whenever we needed taxis or directions. The location was also excellent, with easy access to the metro, about 15–20 minutes from the cruise port, and close to plenty of restaurants and shopping.

We truly appreciated the service and convenience of this hotel and would happily stay here again.

The hotel provides a great first impression and the staff are welcoming and polite. The main disappointment is with the room and the pool area.

The room was dirty. Doesn't matter how many facilities you provide to make it a 5 star, you need to do the basics well too. The bathroom had lots of black mould and the finish was poor (see photos). The carpet was also grubby so needs a good clean. We didn't get refreshed bottled water or teabags each day, which should be at a minimum.

The storage in the room was poor. There was one small wardrobe and no drawers. Most of our stuff had to stay in suitcases.

The pool area was poor. The pool was very small. The nice lounge area had to be booked in 2 hour slots. The issue was that there was no shade for any of them. Then only shaded area was in the eating area. So if you used the pool you had to sit wet or stand around.

The location was great. Easy access to the Gothic Quarter, restaurants and bars. The beach was a 10 min walk too.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The location was great, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff were amazing!

The staff at Grand Hotel Central is very professional and pleasant. The room was beautiful. The hotel as implied in the name is central located, and we felt we had easy access to everything wonderful offered by Barcelona Spain. The room did not have drawers that you could use for your clothing, without drawers you are literally living out of your suitcases. We felt the lack of drawers would make us think twice about staying there again. No fridge (with room for personal items) and no microwave. The rooftop pool is managed by a third party, that has different goals than does of the hotel. It all looks great but not very practical.

God service i front desk

We stayed here for four nights this summer and I was thoroughly underwhelmed by the hotel overall. I had read other reviews saying that this does not feel like a true five star property and I have to agree.

The room was larger than I expected but not as nice as the renovations had made it up to be. The actual lobby and elevators still looked very tired and didn’t feel luxurious at all. Amenities were minimal and we were charged 30 euros for using the laundry bag in the room — I’ve never heard of a 5 star hotel charging for using the laundry bag… insane! It wasn’t written anywhere either.

The concierge was helpful, staff were friendly and the location was good. but I wouldn’t recommend or stay here again unless you’re looking for a central base and generic room.

Had a fantastic stay at the Grand Central Hotel. The room was thoughtfully designed and had everything I needed — no complaints there at all. The decor throughout the hotel is stylish and gives the whole place a really polished, modern feel.
A special shoutout to the front desk staff and the manager, who were friendly and genuinely helpful every single time I interacted with them — that kind of consistent service really makes a difference.
The rooftop pool is a cute bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day out. And the location couldn't be better — centrally situated so you're within easy reach of everything Barcelona has to offer.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-located, stylish hotel with excellent service.
