A shame, was looking forward to the stay here
Cons:

Place is outdated and rooms was reflected of that. Happy hour was still $17 a drink before the bartender pointed out that option.

Pros:

Amazing stay

Cons:

Stayed there two nights, the lady receptionist who was on Sunday morning and Monday morning had no smile, had lack or customer service, I sat there and observed when she served kiwis and other vistors her expression suddenly changed and when she served me as a brown person she had no manners.
I am working for service industry for past 13 years in new Zealand and i come form the busiest tourism area martinbrough, i work for the number one restaurant in the wairarapa and we don't behave like this when we are trained from,I have stayed in ibis multiple times, I will never come back and I will never refer a friend to this business.
This incident took place on 7th of June and 8 of June ,when I checked out.
Your manager on duty should take some training meetings because I don't expect to see this attitude when we start our day coming to the reception for help and feel attitude given!

Very strong contender for a stay in wellington
Pros:

Very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff

Cons:

Was made apparent multiple times that they did not have sufficient staff for the reception/phones.

Apart from the Indian lady at the front desk on check in being rude - our overall stay was fine.
Pros:

Great central location, room very basic and small, wine glasses would have been great - bed was very comfy

Cons:

I booked through booking.com as it was cheaper and included breakfast, I rang through to Ibis to see if the rate was different but it was more expensive, lovely european lady I spoke with I told her I would ring back with my booking number so I could book a carpark. When I rang back to book a carpark and Indian speaking lady told me their were no carparks left - I hung up and rang back to get someone else who booked me a carpark straight away.

Comfortable, clean, and quiet stay with friendly staff, but minor improvements needed.
Pros:

The stay was good, comfortable, and quiet, which made it relaxing. The hotel met my expectations overall. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness. everything was very well maintained. A big thank you to the cleaning staff, who were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

The shower space was a bit small, which made it slightly inconvenient. It would also be great if complimentary water bottles were provided. Additionally, having a microwave available in the room or common area would be beneficial.

Pros:

The hotel is central so access to the center is easy from here. We only stayed for one night. This is more a hotel you would stay at if you were only in the room to sleep for the night and go out when you are awake.

Will cetainly book the Ibis again next time we visit Wellington and recommend to friends and family.
Pros:

Excellent location for the purpose of our trip. Car parking underneath the hotel was so convenient and safe. Room was very clean and the bed was nice and comfortable.

Cons:

Very petty little negative - could have been a little more generous with the amount of coffee provided. As a coffee only drinker I had to ask at reception for more sachets but it was dealt with by a very friendly and helpful gentleman.

Definitely recommend. Good location. Comfortable stay. Excellent breakfast!!
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent location - just a minute's walk to the waterfront. Room had everything we needed and we had a good night's sleep. (to be honest, the best night's sleep I've had in a while). Very thankful for the parking space in the basement. The breakfast exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend it!

Cons:

The button to adjust the heater/aircon unit in the room was marked with a pen and made no sense to me and so I felt that the room was somewhat stuffier and warmer than I would have liked it. No information available upon arrival in the room - e.g. re wifi, the restaurant (only an advertisement re happy hour...so when we went down to the restaurant at 17:00, we had to go back to our room until 17:30, when it did open for food). Minor irritations.
