I didn’t get to see the property.
My booking at this hotel was cancelled without any notification from them. I only found out the day before my stay. Zara Wassim (manageress) offered me one of their Airbnb places in Leicester Marketplace. I accepted. My partner and I got there, 3 hrs later after various failed communications from Zara and the hotel we still had not been given the promised key code. We were then sent to another hotel which we were told had a room. We got there, no they didn’t. We could not find another hotel to stay in. My 60th birthday ruined. My tickets to Madness in the Park useless as we had no where to stay. This weekend was organised last July and October. I was so looking forward to spending my 60th birthday with Madness and Zara Wassim, Empire Hotel and its owners ruined my hole weekend.
AVOID!!!!

I booked a room throgh booking .com but when i reached hotel . they said the hotel is full and my check in was denied . it is a scam. they take money and then neither give room nor the money.

Online this looked really nice and for £100 I expected it to be, but it was disgustingly dirty and the smell was unbearable. I could not stay the night and had to book else where. When requesting a refund as I was only there for 10 minutes they refused

Close location to the National Space Centre, tiny NCP carpark next to hotel.
That's where the good points end!!
Rated 3 star, this hotel is not! Being generous I would give it a 1 star rating.
Going to a gaming convention held at the National Space Centre a few of us chose this hotel due to convenient location and photos showing a bar, pool table and somewhere to eat. All these amenities were not available to use, apparently they won't be ready until next month.
There is an unpleasant odour throughout the hotel.
The room, curtains that didn't draw open, broken door to bathroom, door handle falling off from the bathroom side. Looked like someone had used the toilet and not flushed before making the room ready for check-in. Toilet paper and yellow coloured water greeted me when I went to use the toilet!
Towels provided were small hand towels, mattress was the thinnest, most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, I've walked on more comfortable carpets!! Pillows, if you can call them that were almost paper thin and pointless having.
Exposed electrical wires above bed, made safe by some duct tape over the ends of the wires!!

We were looking forward to our stay here based on the photos of the hotel, please do yourself a favour a do not stay here!

There should be a visit/audit by a hotel inspector arranged, as this hotel should not be open for business.

Just feel conned in spending money to stay in a place this bad.

De reviews over dit hotel beloofden niet veel goeds. Ik zou hier niet beland zijn als er in andere hotels nog kamers vrij waren geweest. Het hotel is in slechte staat en behoeft een grondige renovatie (het pand is prachtig).

De kamer was op zich schoon, maar oude meuk ziet er ook schoon smoezelig uit.

Het hoofdkussen: de hoes was schoon maar het kussen was ronduit smerig. Gelukkig was er een tweede kussen. Die was acceptabel.

In de listing werd er aangegeven dat er een fõhn, waterkoker, shampoo en zo zou zijn. Maar er was zelfs geen wc papier. Dus dat heb ik zelf maar even gekocht om de hoek.
De douche was een drama. Verkalkt en nooit meer schoon te krijgen. Dus eigenlijk een erg slecht hotel.

Maar: ik werd geweldig geholpen met het parkeren van een grote bus. De eigenaresse verplaatste daarvoor haar eigen auto. Allervriendelijkst. Dus ik ben er met een sympathiek gevoel vertrokken.
