You are thinking “5 stars? This reviewer is off his rocker. This is not the Ritz or the Bristol”. That is indeed true, but let’s consider the context - our studio was under €200/night. The room was very clean and functional with a hot plate, microwave, and mini-fridge. Breakfast was very good and though nominally €9/ per person, they never charged us. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The area is very busy with lots of shops and restaurants. Easy metro and bus access. Downsides? The room decor is a bit sterile with gray walls, and smallish though, hey, this is Europe. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here at the end of May, and it was great. We are a family of 5, and it was impossible to find a room in Paris that held all of us. Their apartment for 5 was perfect. It had 3 chairs that were made up into beds for the 3 kids, then a separate bedroom with a bed for my husband and I. We got in from Charles de Gaulle around 9:30 am, and the delightful man at the front desk offered the croissants and pain au chocolate to us that remained from breakfast. We were tired and starving, so it was an amazing treat. They also had our room ready, so we were able to go up and shower and take a nap before we headed out. The staff are all very polite and they speak English well, which is not expected, but nice.
It is close to two metro stops, and in a neighborhood that was pretty quiet at night. There is a park right by Gare d’Est, which is on the way to the hotel where there are several unhoused people, and in the arch that you walk through to the hotel there was also someone sleeping. But I never felt unsafe as there were always others around. There are lots of restaurants and cafes close by as well.
The room was clean and tidy. We enjoyed having the refrigerator in the kitchenette area. We had breakfast in the lobby the next morning and brought it to our room and were able to eat together at the table. The bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure.

Easy to find. Easy to access. Friendly staff. Clean. Great to have the kitchenette (reason for booking). Comfortable bed.

L’hôtel est bien situé, le personnel est courtois

Die Zimmer waren klein und zweckmäßig, haben aber alles beinhaltet, was für den Aufenthalt notwendig war. Die Lage 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Gare d'Est war natürlich sehr praktisch. Zusätzlich war man in einer ruhigen Straße und nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß, um eine Menge an Restaurants oder Frückstück-Kaffees zu erreichen. Die Nähe zum Canal Saint-Martin war sehr schön. Die "Küche" war klein, hat aber auch alles beinhaltet, was man für die Zubereitung eines kleines Essens braucht. Das Personal war sehr nett!
