My view from the room
The property is one of the few that have managed to retain the old world hospitality. From the turn down services to cleaning it was all so perfect , the location takes the cake its just perfect , we had a sea facing room it was amazing

The Taj Club Room facilities were excellent, for me to be able to have breakfast there really made a difference to my stay.
The great staff attention and friendliness always made an evening in the bar a special time. Please give a special thank you to Neha in the main bar, she really gave 110% effort into all she did.
Difficult to fault really. If anything, I was not familiarised with all the faciilites and what entitlements came with being in the grand luxury room.

Breakfast was served at three places to to high occupancy of Hotel. Quality was good.

The reception tried to change my room booking to a lower room category and trying to cheat me.. there was no one to even carry my luggage home .. bad customer service .. very bad for a Taj
Great location and clean room.
Drilling and building noise from 10.30-6pm. Staff kept saying that it will stop soon. They only offered to move me to another room at 5.30pm. Why is this floor even in service if you have building works going on the floor above? I had to contact the staff because they provided no updates. Was supposed to be a relaxing 2 nights in Mumbai before heading home and it was louder than the streets outside.

Cleanliness
I have stayed at many Taj hotels across India, and this is the first time I have had such a disappointing experience. The staff seemed more interested in charging guests than genuinely supporting and serving them.
Except for the reception and billing process, most services were extremely slow and lacked the level of hospitality I normally expect from Taj.
I also sent a detailed email to the Taj team regarding my concerns, but I never received any response. It gives the impression that customer feedback and service quality are not being taken seriously.
The most frustrating part of my stay was that charges were added to my room invoice for items/services I never used. I had to spend unnecessary time arguing and following up with the team before they finally admitted it was an error on their side.
This entire experience wasted my time and significantly affected my trust in the brand. Based on this experience, I would seriously reconsider staying with this hotel again.
