Not worth staying here since it added so much stress to our honeymoon.
Pros:

The staff were pleasant, the room was warm, the buffet was nice, the walks were scenic.

Cons:

DO NOT STAY AT THE GLENVIEW HOTEL - PROPERTY TAKEN FROM ROOM
We stayed here for a few nights in early April for our honeymoon. On the day of our departure, I noticed that a bag with 250 Euros worth of gifts was missing. The Glenview reviewed CCTV and confirmed that the gift bag entered the hotel and we did not leave with it at any point. The CCTV footage also showed that the only other people entering our room during our stay were the Glenview cleaners. The Glenview is refusing to take responsibility, saying that the cleaners can’t be seen carrying the bag away and therefore they do not need to do anything. If it wasn’t us or anyone else, who took our stuff? Do not stay here unless you can zip tie your property to the bed!

Nice place to stay, a cosy get away. Would go back.
Pros:

Pool is nice and restaurant views are good. The walks around grounds are nice too. Our room was clean and comfy and staff were lovely.

Cons:

We were told we could not book woodlands restaurant on phone then on arrival we were rushed in as they said they were closing but other people came in after us. The surf and turf platter for 2 was overpriced and looked like bar food. The outside hot tub didn’t work.

The food, both restaurant/breakfast and bar, is delicious.

The bathroom is a bit aged.

Pros:

Really good location, staff were extremely friendly, room was spacious.

Cons:

The beds were uncomfortable, linens scratchy and pillows very bad quality. No amenities in the room, e.g. only thing in the shower was a shampoo & body wash combo, no face towels, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, grooming kit, etc. Which is fine, but for a 4-star hotel I would expect better.

Thank god we were only there for 1 night
Pros:

Lovely location but old and faded . It’s kept going by some good members of staff. When we checked into our room our window was open and all I could hear was the massive aircon unit outside . Could not close window. Neither could the helpful and understanding staff member ( Padraig).
He then went and made up another room for us at 10.30 pm at night.

Cons:

Shabby and tired.

Very disappointing experience.
Pros:

The location is fantastic and the lady at reception when I checked in was very nice and welcoming. Good parking.

Cons:

My bedlinen had a stain on it. The stain was big so could not have been missed. When I told the man at reception he apologised but that was it. I would have expected a little more by way of apology as it really was an unpleasant experience. Also, I felt chased to pay for every little extra in the hotel, room service, breakfast etc. Quality of food is not good, breakfast very disappointing especially as it is expensive. Hotel is tired and shabby. Thankful it was just one night.
