Stayed for 3 nights. Very welcoming professional staff in all areas of the hotel. Thank you also to the housekeeping team.
Arrived early and asked to leave our bags but were kindly given the keys to our room.
Nice to be able to open the window in the room for some fresh air and a magnifying mirror in the bathroom was a welcome touch. Sound proofing between the rooms was good.
I had requested a quiet room and we were given a room on the 10th floor so all seemed good.
However, the hotel backs onto St James street where there's a night club that's open 7 nights a week from midnight to 5am. The noise in room 1003 was shocking, especially considering it was on the top floor. To the hotel, I'd suggest submitting a noise complaint and inviting the EHO to stay a night because the noise pollution is not good and did spoil our stay because of the poor sleep quality.
We were in Nottingham for a metal music festival so did have ear protection but these aren't the most comfortable to sleep in and even then the noise from the club still filtered through.
Positives are a clean welcoming hotel, breakfast was good although we did ask if they could turn the music down on Sunday morning as it was 7am and we'd had to put up with the music from the club all night. The music in the breakfast area was kindly turned off.
I'd suggest having this as a quiet area in the mornings because people do like to relax and there's no need for 'unnecessary noise' although if you want to have something then for example meditation music in the background would be a nice way to start the day.
Again the music in reception isn't necessary. We are BIG music lovers but it's not needed all the time.
Despite the hotel being nice, I wouldn't stay again nor recommend because of the noise from the night club. Bear in mind it's 7 days a week so no reprieve if you're on a business trip & need to work the next day.
Arriving by car? We're often in Nottingham and for car parking we use the NCP on Maid Marian Way which is the cheapest option and secure.
It’s was great to have a bath in the room and air conditioning, the staff were great. Comfortable bed too.
It would be easier for staff and for the guests if there was a list of allergens on display so then when the staff are busy people can make their own decisions on what food they can have.
The location was great , very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful . The rooms were lovely , and they gave you 20% vouchers off food and drink to use in the hotel bar.
Breakfast was delicious , and a bargain at £12 .
We didn’t like the fact you had to pay £20 for parking .
However , it was nice knowing your vehicle was parked up safely and secure.

Fantastic! We’ve stayed many years ago and it looks like there was a bit of a facelift inside. Everything looked spotless and well looked after. Our room was compact but comfortable. The bathroom and shower were great too. We added the breakfast in the morning and it was just as nice as we remembered.
Everything. Location was great. Staff were excellent. One member chased us out the door to give us an umbrella. The room was Marge and comfortable.

I have stayed here before. The hotel’s location is great. The rooms are very clean, stylish and comfortable. We had a great shower in our room.
It was a little noisy due to nightclubs nearby but I expected it when booking that location so I’ve brought my earplugs with me

Checking in was quite a slow experience. No extractor fan in the bathroom which seems unhygienic. Room was next to the lift shaft which was very loud.
