How close it was to our destination
We had roaches in our room! Very disgusting
Front of lobby had bad smell and trash was close to entrance stairs.
Staff didn't let us know, hot water is not working. I showed with cold water in the morning. It was kitchen with out anything to use , pots spoons coffee maker........
In the past we stayed at the Red Roof Inn a couple blocks down the road and realized that the Extended Stay America is the first bus stop of the bus to NYC during weekdays (Red Roof is 2nd stop), so we decided to try Extended Stay America instead this time around. It was a great experience to step out of the hotel and directly into the bus to NYC as one of the first passengers and departing exactly as per schedule. Also, found it very useful to have a large fridge/freezer in the room. All in all, good value for the price paid.
Hotel in general could have been cleaner and room cleaning was offered only every 2 weeks (!). Even though they said that towels could be changed whenever needed, we found that most of the time they did not have clean towels ready and we were told to come back later. "Breakfast" consists of 2 choices of packaged muffins, oatmeal packages and coffee or hot water (black tea only). Fire alarm went off twice within our 5 days stay, as (presumably) people were using the stove in the little kitchenette that comes with every room and the smoke caused the alarm to go off.
The location was good. Easy to get to by car. The room was clean.
The A/C unit smelled aweful and made the room smell. The bathroom was extremely dated and rusty in spots. The fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate.
Breakfast was fine. It was great to be able to grab a quick bite on our way to the day's events. No complaints here

Tem paragem de autocarro (129) leva a NY, mesmo em frente ao Hotel.
Zona sossegada para dormir e voltar a NY
O pequeno almoço é muito fraco...só café, muffins e aveia instantânea .

I love how the room is like a mini home. It has the usual bed and bathroom, but it also has a small desk and a mini kitchen! If you ever decide to cook something, the stove is available to use! The refrigerator is big so you can store a lot of food even in the freezer. There's some drawers available in the kitchen to store utensils and plates. It has a laundromat in the first floor if you ever need to wash and dry your clothes. The AC is easy to control to set your temperature preference.
The vending machine might be broken as I couldn't get a bottle of water. There's no store nearby so you either have to walk around 30 minutes or drive (which I didn't use a rental vehicle services.) I don't know if the room I booked had a faulty toilet because it's not strong enough to flush. I had to wait for a while and sometimes it either flushes or not.
