Nice place.
Pros:

Clean comfortable and close to ferry with great views of New York skyline.

Cons:

Misleading with car parking fee as booking states 27 dollars per day we was then charged 54 per day.

La atención de Jerrod, el manager. Me quejé porque nunca respondieron mis mensajes con anterioridad a mi llegada para pedir una habitación con accesibilidad. Me hizo callar y amenazó con cancelar mi reserva. Fue extremadamente grosero. Me dieron una habitación sin vista, que es la que había pagado. La pileta estaba cerrada por reformas y no lo avisaron. Great location, poor coordination with JC police on 7/4.

Location, location, location.

Cons:

While most staff were accommodating and courteous, there was a female wait staff in dining area who clearly didn't want to be there. She was curt and had no service skills. Several guests left their tables because of inattention. We were fortunate that a male staff took our order.

Also extremely disappointed Hyatt didn't communicate with JC police. Took us 2 hrs to go thru 5-6 blocks because of blocked roads leading to hotel.

Solo el personal de limpieza se portó decente, de resto recepción pésimo.

Cons:

Jamás informaron que la piscina estaba cerrada. No cuentan con room service, en la habitación no hay minibar ni vasos de vidrio, la verdad es que para nada era lo que esperaba.

We were very happy with this stay, especially the location and room comfort.
Pros:

Excellent location to watch the Macy's 4th of July fireworks, and the USA 250th celebration. Great view of lower west Manhattan. Very convenient to the Path station and restaurants.

Cons:

The coffee maker outlet did not work. No response to text to number we received to make requests.

Good views but false advertising by booking.com
Pros:

Booking.com is still advertising the pool, showing pictures of it. They no longer have a pool, reception told us upon arrival. This is permanent, not temporary. We booked because of the pool. It is not the property’s fault but booking.com’s. They have not gotten back to me about a substantial partial refund, so I will probably do that via my credit card company. So yes, it is an ok place, but not special dues to lack of pool.

Paid for the Best Room, Given One of the Worst
Pros:

I booked the most expensive room category available, but I was given one of the cheapest rooms instead—it wasn’t even an ocean-view room, despite the fact that I had paid for one.

On the first day, the front desk admitted that the room type I had booked was unavailable and claimed they had arranged a room of equivalent value. However, after checking myself, I found that the room they gave me was nearly £150 cheaper than the one I had paid for.

What made the situation even worse was that after I raised this issue again, the hotel completely denied what they had previously admitted and responded with an incredibly arrogant and unreasonable attitude.

I have stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have never experienced treatment this rude, dishonest, and unprofessional. I genuinely felt discriminated against and deeply disrespected as a guest.

The most shocking part is that this happened when I booked without using my World of Hyatt Globalist account. This experience has shown me a side of Hyatt that I had never seen before, and it has completely destroyed my confidence in the brand.

I am seriously considering giving up my Hyatt membership altogether, and I will be advising all of my friends and family to avoid Hyatt after this disgraceful experience.

Shame on this hotel, and shame on Hyatt for allowing such appalling service under its name. This is, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Stay away.
