Classy spot close to transportation and all the local attractions
Pros:

We were surprised at how "fancy" this hotel is given the reasonable cost. It's in a beautifully renovated historic school attached to an ancient church right on the river across from the cathedral. The breakfasts were tops including a table highlighting local food and products (including honey fresh dripped from a honeycomb).

The location is also excellent. We took a bus from Bilboa. It was a short walk to the hotel. One day we walked to the Camino (just behind the nearby cathedral) to the village of Villabilla.

Cons:

Staff was not always so helpful. We asked several times for local directions, food, and a place to rent a bike. The front desk seemed pretty clueless and frankly not interested in helping. The dining staff and maid service another story--really warm and attentive and excellent.
