Great hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable, breakfast options are varied and tasty. Hotel is in a quiet area with no noticeable noise from streets but is in easy walking distance of main sites and public transport stops. Would happily visit again. Staff are all very helpful and kind

Good stay in Bilbao
Pros:

The Mercure Bilbao was in a great location. Corner room was quiet and clean with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Location is perfectly situated between Guggenheim and Casco Viejo. Very walkable neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and main shopping street nearby.

Stylish rooms and a comfortable stay, just missing a bit of warmth
Pros:

I stayed at Mercure Bilbao Jardines De Albia recently and overall found it to be a very comfortable and well-presented base for exploring the city.

The standout for me was the room. It felt modern, well thought out, and nicely appointed throughout. The furnishings had a clean, contemporary feel without being overdone, and everything you would expect from a solid 4-star hotel was there. The bed was large and very comfortable, complemented by a good-sized TV directly opposite. I also appreciated the small touches like the Nespresso machine, fridge, and a genuinely comfortable armchair, which made the space easy to relax in.
The bathroom was equally impressive, with a generous layout, modern detailing, and a walk-in shower that felt more premium than you often find at this level.
The hotel itself is well designed. The lobby flows nicely into a relaxed bar and restaurant area, which creates a welcoming space to sit and unwind. The coffee, taken as part of the welcome drink, was also a nice and of good quality.
As an Accor Platinum member, I was pleased to receive an upgrade, which was appreciated and added to the overall experience.
There is also a decent gym on site, along with the option of a massage area, which adds a bit more depth to the stay if you have time to make use of it.
Location-wise, it’s well positioned. Most of the main sights are within around a 10-minute walk, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars right on the doorstep, making it very easy to step out and enjoy the city. Bilbao’s food scene, particularly the pintxos, is right there.
The only downside for me was the service. While everything functioned as it should, I found the staff to be quite indifferent across my interactions. Nothing was poor, but there was a noticeable lack of warmth or engagement, which stood out given how strong the rest of the experience was.
Overall, a stylish and comfortable hotel in a great location. With a bit more personality in the service, it would be an easy standout choice.

A very good stay at Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia
Pros:

Mercure Bilbao Jardines De Albia is well positioned, close to public transport (Metro station Abando is less than five minutes walking) and to the Old Town (10 minutes walking).
I had a very good room, with a comfortable bed. Insulation from outside noise was excellent, and air conditioning worked well and it was not noisy.
The bathroom was also very good. Everything was spotlessly clean.
Wireless connection worked very well. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was very good, with many choices available.

In summary: a very good hotel for my six days in Bilbao!

Great location, lovely hotel
Pros:

Just returned from a weekend break as a group of 3 couples. We competed at the Hyrox event in the exhibition centre.

The hotel was a great location, 2/3 minutes walk to the main shopping street, and less than 10 minutes to the old town. As with many places in Spain, and array of bars, restaurants and everything in-between was in easy reach. Just a note on Bilbao, we had never been prior, however, the city was exceptionally clean, friendly and well worth a visit.

The hotel itself was extremely clean, modern and comfortable. We had a slight issue with the heating during our stay and although took a little while to resolve, the general manager was able to correct the issue.

We would definitely return.

A great stay
Pros:

We had an excellent stay here, there was a problem with the booking due to the Accor App, but an email to the hotel resolved it quickly and Anna who assisted us was amazing. The hotel is located close to shopping, restaurant and cafes. It is also close to the Guggenheim and lots of other local attractions. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The railway station and public transport options are also close. The WiFi was really good and the hotel bar and food and beverages in offer are reasonably priced and very good quality. One piece of advice, it is tucked away down a side street so finding it can be difficult. I will definitely stay here again.

Great for a stay right in the center
Pros:

This is a very nice hotel right in the center of Bilbao and close to all the main hot spots. A short walk to the shopping area, train station, Guggenheim and old town. We didn't need to use public transportation at all during our stay. We had a car for some day trips and there is on-site parking for 20 EUR a day which was helpful. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Staff are also friendly and helpful. There's a fitness area and spa and a good breakfast as well. I would highly recommend staying here.

All you need for a comfortable city break
Pros:

We stayed 4 nights in a Superior room.
The hotel is quiet but in a good, central location.
The Old Town, the Guggenheim gallery and the shopping streets (including plenty of restaurants, including places for breakfast) are within easy walking distance, as are metro and the bus stop for the airport.
Hotel was clean and always nice to come back to.
Our room was very comfortable, beds excellent, some seating, wardrobe with built-in safe, TV, kettle, good bathroom.
Staff on reception were efficient and friendly. Organised our cab to the airport without a hitch.
A solid choice for a few days in Bilbao and I would recommend.

Pros:

Highly recommend Mercure Bilbao to fellow travelers. The property is clean, good size rooms, friendly staff. On the night we checked in the reception person came out to help us park as we were struggling with small parking spaces. They also suggest to take their umbrellas when going out for walk as it does rain off and on.
Breakfast buffet is the highlight with an impressive menu options with lot of choices - one suggestion is to add allergy alert info beside each dish name. One has to ask the server or chefs for allergy info on each dish. Secondly, at omelet station, the chef was using gloved hand to add all condiments (vegetables and/or bacon) they should use spoons to accommodate guests who are vegetarian.
Parking is very convenient and even though included - one has to pay separately, this should be made more explicit.
