Reliable Stay for Carowinds Visits
Pros:

Great stay overall at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte at Carowinds. I’ve stayed here a couple times for work, most recently in April 2026, and have always found the accommodations pleasant, comfortable, and well kept, even if parts of the hotel rooms are starting to show a little age.

The breakfast buffet offers a solid variety of options and was a great way to start the day before heading out. One thing to keep in mind is that it’s a bit of a trek from the front gate of Carowinds, so driving is probably the easiest option. There also aren’t really restaurants within walking distance, so Uber Eats or a short drive for food is the way to go. Overall though, a good and dependable stay and I’d happily return.

Comfortable and relaxing.
Pros:

Secure parking and the cleanliness of the hotel. My room smelled great! The staff was super helpful and friendly. They allowed me to park my motorcycle underneath the awning. The breakfast was also great.

We went to Carowinds all day and it was so close being right next to the park!

Pros:

I have not had any bad experiences at any of the Springhill Suite locations I have stayed. This particular hotel in Charlotte NC was Fantastic, we were on the first floor. Very large room with 2 queen beds, high ceilings, extremely clean with Awesome Staff.

Cons:

They could have had more options for breakfast.

Pros:

Breakfast was simple but good.
The breakfast space had plenty of room for everyone. Staff was really friendly

Cons:

We put our dirt towels outside the door and asked the maid for clean ones, we never got the clean ones.

Nice hotel
Pros:

Stayed here as an overnight stop on the way to Florida. It was a clean and modern hotel with a nice breakfast. I would stay here again for the right price. We did not go to the park.
