Arenal Kioro Suites & Spa

Large rooms with tall windows. It was cloudy when we were there but I'm sure the view would have been spectacular. The garden area is well maintained and landscaped with paths from building to building. The hot springs were relaxing and the bartender will bring you drinks directly to you. Check-in was a breeze and included a welcome drink. The breakfast buffet had variety and was very good. The hotel location is probably great for the views of the volcano, but it is a bit of a drive from town. Our showers were cold, but we still really enjoyed our stay.

This location was beyond incredible from the cleanliness to the volcano views to the staff to the food I can go on for days! My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay and loved every moment.

The view from our room at Arenal Kioro looked exactly like the website pictures! The hotel is small which I really enjoyed but the grounds are big and fun to explore. If you stay a little further from the main areas, you don’t mind the walk because the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everywhere is kept immaculately clean but you never see anyone actually cleaning. The staff couldn’t be sweeter or more helpful. They left something sweet on the bed at check in since my girls were celebrating a birthday and graduation. It really delivered in every way. It isn’t the newest property but it is very well kept and my family had the best time here. The complimentary breakfast was great, so were the poolside bites and lunches. It seemed to be a good distance from all of the excursions we booked so usually we were just a 15-20 minute Uber ride from anywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous views from the large, lovely suites at this hotel. Very helpful and kind staff, gave lots of recommendations for activities and handled booking them.

I loved that they have hot springs on site, and again, the views from the pool were beautiful. Tasty food also, I especially enjoyed the breakfast and Caesar salad.

We stayed in the Villa at Arenal Kioro - it was fabulous. In addition to the amazing accommodations in the Villa we were impressed with the hot springs, gorgeous grounds and staff all were top notch! Food and bar service were amazing too. A 10/10 it's a winner!

Wow, what an incredible resort…not sure why you don’t hear more about it. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, will stay here every time from now on.

Absolutely amazing resort!! Breathtaking view of volcano, large clean room. Felt like the volcano was on the balcony it was so close! Delicious food and super staff. You will NOT be disappointed!

The ambiance, unimpeded views of the jungle and the volcano. The premises were clean and well maintained. Food was very good. Staff was very polite and helpful. Spa services were excelled. Loved the location, out of town. Quiet and low key.

Beautiful property with stunning views of Arenal. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great each morning with made-to-order omelettes, a new variety of main dish options each day, yummy baked goods with fresh tropical jams (mixed tropical fruits & green papaya were my favorites), and a nice selection of sauces to add. Thermal springs were a main highlight of the stay, 7 pools allowed different temperature options. Their included relationship with another thermal springs property made for a nice day trip to experience slightly hotter temperatures off-site. It’s a little way off from the main strip of La Fortuna activities, but if the main goal is relaxation and light pampering then this is a great option. Really nice spa service menu. Restaurant menus provided a decent range of options for lunch and dinner. In-room hot tub was nice but the thermal springs were the best. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kioro Arenal Spa & Suites. From the moment we arrived, we received an exceptionally warm welcome. All the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and service-oriented, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

We chose a suite with a view of the Arenal Volcano, and it exceeded our expectations. The view was truly breathtaking, and the suite itself was very spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with excellent amenities.

Breakfast at the restaurant was outstanding—varied, fresh, and plentiful. Dinner at the main restaurant was also very good. However, we wouldn’t particularly recommend the BBQ by the pool. Instead, we suggest trying the restaurant just across the road from the resort, which offers a nicer dining experience.

The gym is somewhat outdated and limited, but the surrounding area more than makes up for it, with plenty of hills and nature for outdoor exercise.

The resort gardens are beautifully landscaped and add to the overall relaxing atmosphere.

All in all, we would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

Exceptional room space with fabulous view of Areal Volcano.

My wife and I enjoyed the beautiful view from our room, the in-room spa, the gym facility (which was not large but had enough weights and machines to allow a full workout) and the hot springs pools in particular. The hotel's food was the best of the three hotels we stayed at during our 11 day trip to Costa Rica (Arenal, Monteverde and Tamarindo). The breakfast had a wide range of options some of which changed daily. The dinners had a broader menu than many. We ate there three nights and found the fish in particular to be excellent. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant provided excellent service and were very friendly. Its location was convenient for our guide to meet us and take us to different tours each day without long trips to the destinations. The room was clean and we had no issue of noise from any area around us.
