Great location, expensive parking
Pros:

Fantastic location in old town Funchal! Wonderful refreshing breakfast made to order, easily the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. They'll even pack you breakfast if you need to leave early for the day.

Very nice bathroom and amenities. Close to everything you'd want to do in the old town.

Cons:

Parking sucks. The only option is to pay 20 euro each day to park in the underground garage of an affiliated hotel. That should really be included at this price range. Maybe inconvenient if you have a rental car, otherwise it's a good option!

Stilvoll zentral und gastfreundlich
Pros:

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist perfekt – alles ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Obwohl wir sehr spät angekommen sind, konnten wir problemlos im nahegelegenen Partnerparkhaus parken. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den freundlichen Service: Da wir bereits vor 6 Uhr zum Flughafen mussten, wurde uns sogar ein Lunchpaket vorbereitet. Das Hotel ist modern, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wirkt sehr neu. Der gemütliche Frühstücksraum und das gesamte Konzept haben uns besonders gefallen. Klare Empfehlung!

Brilliant hotel. Lovely breakfast. If staying in Funchal would highly this hotel
Pros:

The location was ideal for walking into the old town. Lots of cafes/ restaurants near by. Breakfast was excellent table service.

Cons:

Breakfast was from 8 -11. We did have an excursion one day and the meetup was 8.30 and because it was table service at breakfast we had to miss it. 😟

Cons:

The only issue was the bathroom ,where the toilet door doesn’t fully close by design, which affects privacy. Also, the room had just one chair and one small table, despite being booked for two people.

Personal super freundlich. Lage perfekt. Zimmer gut ausgestattet.

Cons:

Frühstück nicht früh genug möglich um an geführten Wanderungen teilnehmen zu können. (Aber wir erhielten dann ein Sandwich Packet als Ersatz.)

Very good small central hotel with a different approach to the usual - really liked it.
Pros:

Great location in a nice central area. Veryhelpful staff. Simple breakfast but with good ingredients. Nice vibe.

The location in the old city was lovely and Will come back with my husband
Pros:

The helpfulness in giving advise before coming and booking the tours, kind and very responsive

Cons:

The booking.com portrayal of the property is not correct - it says there is a shuttle and only shows you the room size once you have booked - I was fortunate I could upgrade, the single room for me would have been really too small
The staff at the restaurant could have been a bit better understanding the order and a bit friendlier

Die praktische Lage für den Aufenthalt in Funchal

Altes Stadthaus, renoviert, alles neu
Im Restaurant wird auf Regionalität Wert gelegt. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet - nahrhaft und gesund, guter Kaffee.
