The people at the hotel itself seemed nice
Going to reception barefoot in pyjamas at 1am was a particular low, at the third attempt to get the person next door to keep the noise down. Only when I offered to bang on his door myself was I offered an alternative room.
There was a total failure in terms of chain of command and or hierarchy to follow up on complaints.
They seem to have no agency to resolve matters themselves, which severely reduces their capacity to address issues.
Given this level of managerial control from the top, I would advise people to go elsewhere.
Wonderful hotel. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely room with all facilities. Excellent evening meal and great choice for breakfast. Highly recommend
Nothing.
Breakfast was good and the evening meal very nice. Good selection of wines
We didn't like the first room. It was in an annexe with a very small waist-level window and a skylight. We told the staff and they immediately moved us to a new room. In fact, we were offered a choice of four. Impressed by the no-fuss attitude.
Room was clean and had everything
Quiet location, roomy in public areas, large grounds, good-sized bedrooms. Food just fine
Nothing comes to mind
A good location with clean room and friendly staff
We were upgraded to better room which was right next to all the air conditioning units and some sort of fan extractor. Which were very noisy. And the breakfast was an extortionate price
Clean & quiet staff friendly
Great location. A little off the beaten track but quiet as a result so no bad thing. Small hotel with good facilities and the staff were super helpful.
A little bit difficult to find. Do your research before setting off. I didn’t and spent a little time “a wandering “.
Very beautiful space. Rooms beautifully designed and decorated.
Rooms werent 100% clean (behind tub in bathroom and carpets had a smell)
Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Everything was perfect. A charming house run by a very attentive and friendly staff. The gardens were lovely, as was the village - idyllic church, pub, country walks all very close by. The air conditioning was very welcome in the heatwave. The food was excellent and surpassed all my expectations.
I could only find two things to fault:
Please have that piano repaired and tuned! It's a travesty to allow a musical instrument to get into that state.
The paving stones in the summer house need setting properly. Looks like the job wasn't quite finished.
The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, all have a big smile on their face every time I see them, and they are very catering to preferred rooms.
Only thing I’d say is the showers flicker between hot and cold quite frequently.
