Hotel was clean and comfortable.
Everything was perfect. A charming house run by a very attentive and friendly staff. The gardens were lovely, as was the village - idyllic church, pub, country walks all very close by. The air conditioning was very welcome in the heatwave. The food was excellent and surpassed all my expectations.
I could only find two things to fault:
Please have that piano repaired and tuned! It's a travesty to allow a musical instrument to get into that state.
The paving stones in the summer house need setting properly. Looks like the job wasn't quite finished.
The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, all have a big smile on their face every time I see them, and they are very catering to preferred rooms.
Only thing I’d say is the showers flicker between hot and cold quite frequently.
Friendly Staff. Great breakfast. Comfy rooms. Overall a pleasant stay.
Lovely location. Friendly efficient staff. Outstanding dinner in the restaurant.
There should be an extractor in the windowless ensuite bathroom
Regularly stay for the weekend, everything is consistent, staff are helpful, rooms very clean (housekeeping are brilliant) bit stuck at breakfast but that's my diet, food always good.
Nice grounds
Poor quality and very limited amenities in the small room. Only had free to air channels available on the tv, not a smart tv and it had a line running through it. Only toiletry provided was a low quality combined shampoo and body wash. No bar fridge so couldn’t have milk in tea or coffee and just Nescafé sachets provided. It was a shabby offering.
Lovely room. Very warm welcome. Good breakfast
Bedside lamp had no bulb. Standard lamp wouldn't stay on so no alternative to main lights.
The Hotel grounds were lovely the staff very pleasant and professional. We were told on arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite?
If that means having a 2 seater sofa in the room then we were. Room was cold so we set the rad to five for later.
Went down to our prearranged meal order wine and a steak each.
Steak looked lovely and pink and wine was fine but steak was tough and every mouthful tasted of char grill. We didn't complain as on a date night and just wanted a nice stay.
The manager came over and said he had seen the full plates so tasted the steak and agreed it tasted burnt and tough. Asked us if we wanted anything else which was nice.
We ordered a desert which was lovely and a glass of wine and I believe the deserts were not billed.
We went back to the room and no heating had come on, so we asked at reception , someone came up and looked and confirmed it didn't work. When we asked what now we were told they would move us but they were full. So we just went to bed.
We left early next day but sadly it was not a nice visit. Lovely staff but we won't recommend to any friends. Many thanks, Aidan and Lorraine.
Cold ,poor food hard pillows
Location, shower and bed was comfy.
The decor was dull and shoddy, run down with hanger hanging off door, hand cream dispenser holder broken, wardrobe way too small, big dirty stain in carpet, no where to hang my wedding dress in the bridal suite,
We were visiting Bletchley Park Museum. This hotel is a 5 minute drive away. Although in Milton Keynes we could have actually been in the middle of the countryside.
Plenty of free parking. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. The hotel bar and restaurant were excellent and the breakfast, included in our booking, had everything we could have wanted.
The room was air conditioned and unlike some hotels this actually worked very well and was easy to adjust.
There is also a great pub just outside the hotel, a 2 minute walk, if a change of scenery is required.
I will be staying here again when we revisit Bletchley Park and the Museum of Computing.
Nothing
This is a small and friendly hotel in a beautiful location, as i was travelling alone i wanted to feel safe, and the big major chains do not make me feel safe after hearing stories of key being given to unknown males.
this little hotel made me feel very safe, i will be staying again next month when i travel again

Breakfast hot food was disappointing. No bacon in tray scrambled egg too long in tray. Ltd staff to put right. Nobody to ask for Fried egg.
Bed ok but leak under sink. Told reception.
Read above
Also evening burger was over cooked.
Respectfully I don’t think some staff could understand English completely. Manager very welcoming.
Nice rooms, helpful staff, location right by the Marathon route so my fam could see me run past
