Nice family friendy resort with a lake view
Pros:

Spacious rooms perfect for 2 actuve toddlers
Booked the lake view so had access to garden/lake view so kids could spend time outside

Come and stay - a beautiful hotel on Lake Rotoiti edge
Pros:

Hotel is in a beautiful spot on the edge of a lake with unquestionable beautiful views. The lawn is expensive and the rooms look out to the view as well. The lounge and dining also has the view. We love coming here so that we can take our boat and do trout fishing on the lake leaving our boat Knot Now on the jetty. This is our holiday home as we come here often and enjoy the staff and the hospitality that they offer.

Comfortable but could benefit from bit of an upgrade. Location was good for passing through.
Pros:

Great location for a night on the way through South. Very pleasant gentleman on checkin.

Cons:

It is a little run down and unfortunately did not have a very good experience with the lady at breakfast in the restaurant. She was rude.

The late check in was a nice touch, the staff seemed pleasant enough.

Cons:

Finding our room in the pitch black of night felt like navigating a confusing rabbit warren. When we finally arrived, the room itself presented an odd layout - most notably a window positioned right next to the bathtub, leaving us feeling completely exposed to anyone looking in.
The swimming pool was under maintenance and too cold to enter.

Overall we really enjoyed our relaxed stay.
Pros:

Breakfast was very good, staff very good and friendly, but clearly it is running on a shoe string and generally the building and plant have been let go. They are tired, and need paint, spouting cleaned out and exteier washed. So exterior woodwork needs attention. From the road it nolonger looks welcoming. The reception area once inside is very nice. A little attention to the smaller things will reinvigerate the business. Basic information in the rooms would also help.

Cons:

General property maintenance. The restraint was closed for maintenance, one night, but the sign at the front desk was there but turned round when we arrived. Truth goes a long way.

ALL of the staff were exceptional. Helpful beyond what to expect.
I had a back injury and upstairs was a challenge. They happily upgraded us to a larger downstairs room.
Stunning views across the lake.
Beautiful building.

Cons:

Some areas need some TLC, but this was mostly cosmetic and didnt bother us.
