Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa

Overall a very nice hotel. Great to have parking close to the city centre. Our room had a nice view over the dock and Unicorn. The room was clean, but unfortately the window had been hit by the seagulls! The room layout could do with changing so the comfy chair looks out, and a second comfy chair would be nice as the room is a good size. The room and corridor could do with a bit of a touch up.
We ate evening meals in the bar area, the food was good (I'd recommend the loaded fries with haggis) and had breakfasts in the restaurant - some nice Scottish twists to the menu. The waiting staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed the night for my partners birthday - we were given a free room upgrade plus complimentary drinks, it made our stay so much better and appreciate the staff member going the extra mile to make us feel special! The only area we’d say you could improve on - is the pool and spa. We were let down by the pool and the atmosphere, there are 3 lounge chairs - that are uncomfortable and only let you lie straight back, these are placed in an awkward position in front of the gym so anyone in the gym can see you lying on them. - we were told that the hot tub had been broken for weeks (we would have appreciated this if we were told this upon booking) and we thought the sauna was tiny for the amount of people in their, it doesn’t make it a relaxing experience and makes you feel slightly uncomfortable inside. Overall the spa isn’t a very relaxing place and could do with a bit of maintenance and improvements.

Location is nice, staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good. However, the rooms are ridiculously hot and the heating can not be controlled. They provide fans so the problem is known to management but it's not being fixed. I could not sleep because of the heating in the room not shutting down. The display showed 25-26.5C and this was in all rooms because the staff offered me a different room but that had the same problem.

Friendly, efficient staff. Comfortable , clean room. Food was good. Location perfect for City centre.

The first room was very hot and had a very noisy air system and the staff kindly moved me to another room. This however was also very hot (27C) and there was no way to cool down except open the windows and then listen to the traffic noise all night.

Extremely good staff in every department

The room was very spacious and had added extras included like hair dryer, ironing board, iron, fridge, safe plenty of soap for shower etc and body lotions.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum war sehr freundlich. Vor allem Vincent hat sich viel Zeit genommen und war ausserordentlich hilfsbereit, uns insbesondere bei unserem Ausflug nach New Lanark zu unterstützen

Good location close to amenities.

Comfortable room overlooking the quay, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Only 10minutes walk for our visit to Caird Hall, riverside walk on the doorstep plus convenience of car park makes it the perfect location.

Always our go to in Dundee. Staff - from reception staff to bar & waiting staff. Always pleasant, professional & chatty. Rooms are spot on. Absolutely no complaints with the hotel. Always feel relaxed when staying. Dinners are great as well, never had to question any of the dinners at all.
