There is no elevator. There is one very nice staffer who offers to carry your bags, but just one. So if a group checks in at the same time as you, you have to carry your bags or wait for him. Clean room, but smelled musty until AC kicked in during the first night. Oddly there was a full scale furnace in my closet, which was a little weird. And the AC which comes on intermittently throughout the night was noisy. Otherwise, it's charming; on the funky side.
It was good.
It was used to be a dormitory for Ford engineers or technicians for training/study. Very interesting place.
Only complaint for me was a lack of elevator. Normally, it is okay for me, but for this trip, it was difficult because I had an injury.
The hotel was nicely located and decorated and the staff was very nice and tried to be helpful.
There were bedbugs. The staff tried to help and offered a different room but they really should have in place already a clear solution without equivocation because the bugs could have simply spread if the room change happened without proper containment of the textiles. Note, I was with a group and the only one affected. Nonetheless: It’s very stressful and hotel might want to consider providing more premium care for the pricepoint?
Location was near many walkable places and restaurants
For being newly renovated, important features like electrical outlets should have been updated. Our room still had power cords and outlets in the middle of the tv wall. These Design features would make a big difference. Otherwise the room on the 3rd floor was comfortable and had plenty of light. Rooms on the first floor are very dark.
Staff were very warm and helpful. We got an early check-in as requested.
The hotel has no lifts, so if you have heavy luggage, it can be a bit of an issue, though the hotel staff assist with bags.
man spürt in dieser Unterkunft den Hauch der Geschichte
Licht im Zimmer nicht ausreichend, 114 US-Dollar Parkgebühr für zwei Nächte... sorry , aber das ist Abzocke.
The MarQueen has a Victorian feel with all the ornate decorations and period finishes. They kept the original doors and floors which bring the charm.
The staff was great and the location was perfect.
Nothing I didn't like.
Les instal·lacions, l’ubicació, el personal molt simpàtic i llits còmodes.
Que no feien l’habitació, crec que és un servei bàsic.
Everything. There is no restaurant and no breakfast as advertised.
No elevator
Beautifully decorated hotel and nice, big, clean rooms. They offer a $ 10-per-person shuttle from the hotel to the pier if you are catching a cruise ship, which was very convenient and arrived on time.
Would highly recommend. Also, the diner down the road (left outside the hotel) is a great breakfast spot!
