Terrible experience - please don’t stay there. This was our return to Puerto Vallarta after 16 years.
Pros:

After 16 years, we were excited to return to Puerto Vallarta and booked a 7-day stay at Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The room smelled musty, the bathtub was damaged and rusty, and we even found a dead roach in the closet along with items left behind by previous guests. The AC did not work, and after waiting over two hours with no solution, we decided to leave and book another hotel. To make matters worse, the hotel still has not responded to Expedia regarding our refund request. Very disappointing experience during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation.

el clima perfecto en dias descanso en fanilia

la ubicacion del hotel es excelente porqu esta en la avenida principal cerca del areopuerto y de la zona tiristica del malecon y la zona romantica, las comidas buienas y la atencion del personal excelente, ademas de que en el hotel vimos a las iguanas que se acostumbraron a las personas ya que son parte de los atractivos del hotel

que nuestra habitacion tuvo problemas con el aire acondicionado y no lo pudieron resolver, por lo que si estuvo incomodo por el calor de la temporada

I really like the location and the exterior appearance of the hotel. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the building looks beautiful and welcoming.
I really liked the beach and the shoreline — the sand was nice and everything was clean. However, what I did not like was that vendors were constantly walking around trying to sell something. It was difficult to simply relax peacefully and enjoy the beach without being interrupted all the time.

Cons:

I did not like the condition of the room. The furniture is old, the room feels quite dark, and several things were broken. The safe was not working, the air conditioner did not work properly, the faucets were leaking, and the toilet kept clogging. The bed linens and towels were very old and even had holes in them.

I stayed at this hotel only because I was attending a conference in Puerto Vallarta and the price was reasonable for me. However, I would not stay there again.

Estaban remodelando la barra y eso es incomodo. no hay baño en la playa ni hay comida como antes.

Había mesas solas y duramos 45 minutos en entrar al bufet del desayuno. no hay baños en la playa ni alimentos. nos dijeron que el servicio de bar en la playa era hasta las 8 y no fue cierto. nos sirvieron café en una taza usada hasta con labial. el bar estaba abierto y no había música.

It was worth the short quick 1 day stay before going to our main resort
Pros:

Simple cute resort. The staff was great. The tub was massive and the rooms were large

Cons:

Not really all inclusive as they don’t stock your mini fridge and a cold drink in the morning from the fridge after the hang over would be lovely. Small pool but they take you to the beach. The snack bar at the pool didn’t have much options

Definitivamente toda la comida de los bufettes. Muy rica y variada, tienen muy buen sazón en todo. Exclente.

Cons:

La habitación. Muy vieja y sin mantenimiento. La mesita de antecomedor que tienen, bailaba demasiado, era muy incómoda. El aire acondicionado no enfriaba o no se podía regular la temperatura para más frío, de 26 grados no se podía bajar. La puerta de la regadera del baño no cerraba y se abría lo cual era incomodo al bañarse porque estorbaba. La Tv demasiado pequeña para la distancia de las camas. Una lástima las habitaciones, no sé sí todas son así.

Amazing Staff, Great Food, and a Relaxing Stay
Pros:

All the staff were amazing during our stay and really made the experience enjoyable. The food and drinks were excellent, and overall we loved the hotel.

Our only complaint was the beach bar. It no longer serves food and doesn’t have any bathrooms, which made it less appealing to spend time there for us.

Because of this, we didn’t spend as much time at the beach as we would have liked. That said, we still had a great stay and appreciated many aspects of this hotel and highly recommend.
