Schönes Herrenhaus mit gelungener Renovierung
Pros:

Das Hotel ist in einem schönen Herrenhaus untergebracht. Es hat eine schöne Lage mit einem großen Grundstück drumherum. Erwähnen die ganze Ausstattung macht einen wertigen Eindruck.

Cons:

Die Beschilderung der Einfahrt befindet sich hinter einem Gebüsch und ist kaum zu sehen. Deshalb fuhren wir erst einmal dran vorbei und nur mit Hilfe des Navis haben wir dann die Grundstückseinfahrt gefunden. Das könnte man besser machen. Außerdem scheint schon seit Monaten sich keiner um die Reinigung der Fenster gekümmert zu haben, das trübt den Eindruck ein wenig.

OK value. Close to centre via a busy road. Obviously an old house, converted to a hotel without the necessary infrastruc

Staff were great.

Cons:

Floorboards above were extremely noisy. Creaking was intense and even though the guests weren’t doing the ‘Lambada’, the noise was ridiculous. Woke us up at night and again early in the morning

Die Vorfreude auf das Hotel war zu groß, die Stadt ist super
Pros:

Der alte Stil des Interieurs ist schön, das Personal freundlich und die Matratze gut. Das Zimmer ist sauber.

Cons:

Ein Schild an der Straße der kleinen Einfahrt wäre schön. Man rechnet mit einer Lage im Grünen, aber der Garten ist weder ansehnlich noch einladend. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, die Fensterscheiben trüb und der Blick auf ein schmutziges Innendach mit stetigem Klimaanlagerauschen die ganze Nacht und Tauben auf dem Fensterbrett nicht ruhefördernd. Einen Kühlschrank gibt es nicht und ich weiß nicht, warum die Rezeption 50Pfund „deposit“ nimmt; so etwas ist in einem Hotel nicht üblich. Leider mehr Schein als Sein.
P.S.: Das Restaurant wird gerade umgebaut.

Es läuft aktuell eine Umbauphase. Restaurant geschlossen. Kleine Einschränkung, aber alle sind mehr als bemüht das wir davon nicht so viel spüren.
Hat uns sehr gefallen!
Wir werden wiederkommen.

Very enjoyable stay for good value
Pros:

We stayed in April 2026, and the hotel undergoes renovation in stages. But we did not get disturbed and the new rooms are fabulous. Easy parking. A 12 minute walk into town only, location is really good. Staff were excellent and helpful. We will be back.

Was geen airco op de kamer en het was bloedheet weer

En ze wouden bij aankomst 50 pond hebben zouden we bij uitchek weer terug krijgen. Daar hun pin het niet deed zowel met mijn kaart en mijn partner zijn kaart het niet en meer mensen niet . Moest ik het maar in het centrum pinnen bij een automaat ... dus 200 pond gepind en bij elke winkel of elk ander restaurant deed mijn pinkaart het niet.
Middags was er een ander iemand achter de balie en ik kwam met mijn 50 pond contant geld aan ( op advies van de vorige balie medewerker) deze balie medewerker wou eerst het gepinde geld niet aannemen want het moest daar gepind worden... nou hele troelala...., uitgelegd enz, toch aangenomen en de laatste dag terug gehad, ook weer hetzelfde contante geld. en daar wij weer met de boot gingen , heb ik nog maar wat onnodige dingen gekocht , want wat moet ik met de ponden in Nederland

Pros:

Locatie is goed,15 min van het centrum, we konden ook parkeren.
Bed was groot,kamer ook vrij ruim.

Cons:

Het was ontzettend warm in de kamer, we kregen wel een ventilator maar hielp niet veel.
Het was heel erg gehorig, we hoorden de buren snurken, hoesten en praten
