Had a great time back, since their closure last year due to renovations. Some changes were noticed like their lobby area, rooms appear smaller than before with some changes, the AC needs improvement, 68f was the coolest. Snacks/food area in the reserve area/adults only area was better before with more options. No changes were noted in the adults only area, before closing we were told an infinity pool was in the works for this area, disappointed not see this be. With it just being reopened, staffing is short, we had to wait awhile for most restaurants for food to be delivered, the cabana beds also took awhile, only 1 person, taking care of guests, where as before there was always 2 people working that reserve area. Over all had a pleasant time, Estephany our personal concierge was great! She made sure we had everything we needed and more. She went above and beyond helping us to celebrate an anniversary and birthday. We had nice dessert surprises at dinner and back in our room with special wine, champagne and room decorations! Thank you Estephany for making our stay special, we appreciate you! Look forward to coming back.
Just leaving after an amazing week hotel has been renovated and is immaculate staff very attentive Ana who was a server around the main pool is an absolute credit she never stopped and welcome everyone every day we used Gastro hall for meals plenty of choice and beautifully cooked in many visits to Mexico this has been the best Thankyou Melia

I’ve been visiting this resort for over 10 years and have brought family, friends, etc. The Reserve has been a mainstay for me, a place of peace and relaxation. My post-renovation visit, however, was disappointing. The caliber of service seems much lower and less personalized. The special Paradisus luxuries like cookies at night, having your bathwater run, or having someone unpack your luggage were not even offered. The renovations have made the rooms feel much smaller and would benefit from better planning. The 60 inch TV screen that never even came on completely blocked half the gorgeous view in the ocean view junior suite. Although this was once a customized experience, I found it difficult to acquire fresh hot food from room service, or even fruit, juice, etc., in the mini bar, which was consistently stocked with sodas and beer. I drink neither.
This visit was twofold: time to celebrate my birthday and intended to provide a thorough review for my corporate Clients, but it seems this spectacular destination is still transitioning after being closed for 10 months. The classic birthday balloons and bottle of champagne is still a nice touch, but the Melia service I’ve appreciated for years was gone.

We just returned from a 7 night stay at Paradisus Cancun. My wife and I wanted to come back after the renovations were completed this year after an amazing stay in March of 2025. All I can say is that the resort is great and the staff is amazing. We will be back again and again with our next trip already planned for later this year. We were blown away by the attention to detail and the fact that many of staff remembered us from our last stay. Restaurants were all very good. Food in general was all very good. Drinks were aplenty and served quickly. Entertainment was available as well. Zestys was a very warm atmosphere (temp wise) Blue Agave was very accommodating, Pizza ok, coffee shop great, ice cream place great, buffet not so great.

Please know that many travelers to this resort come from outside of the USA and do not tip (part of their culture), but the amazing people in this resort deserve a little attention. They give you their undivided attention while you are there to make your stay amazing so please consider a tip to show your appreciation. While not expected it is well received as they work very hard for everyone that is there tips or not.
Apart from not being accommodated to the Reserve side of the resort, our experience was exceptional with our concierge Estephany. We made an intentional decision to make the best of our stay. Estaphany was patient, she listened and she heard us. She was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. If she didn't have the answer, she found the answer.
Service was exceptional. Our entire team worked together to make things happened even after requesting our snacks get restocked. We were always greeted with smile and a warm welcome from the heart. The food was good. Our favorite were the lamb chops from the Sante restaurant and the Ribeye steak from Sal restaurant. They were well seasoned and tasty 🌝.
We had a catered dinner for two on the beach. Enjoyed every moment.
Big shout out to Javier from Santa restaurant who made sure I had my fix of mangoes in the mornings. My other waiters, Roberto, Jorge, Francisco, Jesus (Zesty) and Ignacio (he was new in this position, however made it happened.
The spa was exceptional. Wendy and Veronica were very welcoming. They explained the process the best way they knew in English, and it was perfect. Wendy did very well with the deep tissue massage and Veronica did worked on my husband knots in his shoulders. Both ladies were great.
Husband celebrated his 54th birthday and we knocked off three things from our bucket lists.

We had a oceanview junior suite was small to our liking but we made it work. Atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Not many people on the resort that because of reopening, children still in school or world climate. Location was good. We were not very far from the international hotel. We took a short drive in the taxi to shop for souvenirs.
New fun area for children added. Oh, and there is new bridge which from what hear the locals are Super excited due shorter commute. Listen visit, tour, and become family! Blessings,

We recently spent a week at this resort. It is vastly improved over a trip we took early last year before the remodel. We are circle members and have been members of Melia for around 15 years. Our concierge, Rodolfo’s outstanding. Our Grandkids 5 and 7 loved the kids club and the water zone pool. Our favorite restaurants were Sal, Sante, cappellas and Kai. Many of the staff are new since the reopening and were getting up to speed but all were friendly and eager to assist us with any need. We will definitely be back soon.
This resort is absolutely stunning. I understand why they call themselves The Icon. The property is so grand and luxurious and in great location. We had the pleasure of staying at Paradisus Cancún in the second week of May for our anniversary. Our concierge Javier (Javo) was professional and friendly and took excellent care of us. He arranged dinner reservations, secured pool-side day beds and recommended activities daily. The service from all the staff was top notch. Our room at The Reserve exceeded our expectations and the view was perfect. We were sad to leave but will be back! Thank you!
