Went for a little break away with my daughter. We had such a great time. Definitely would return

Staff were so good. Couldnt be nicer or more helpful. Great location right on the beach front. Everything on your doorstep. Rooms were beautifully decorated and so clean. Have already been telling anyone that listens how great the hotel was.

Everything the room decoration. The comfy bed, the bathroom. The sea view.

Cons:

The breakfast service. No attention to customer. Waited 20 mins for tea another 20 mins for cooked breakfast. Nobody came to ask for order until we did. Nobody told us to help ourselves to cereal while we waited. Not that many people at breakfast either. Food wasn't great. Bacon was thin like supermarket bacon.

We enjoyed our stay in Newcastle but would not return to the Avoca

The location

Cons:

The room we were given was at the top of 3 flights of stairs and there isn’t a lift. There was no fridge in the room. The lighting was very poor in an already dark room. There was limited hanging space and no drawers to put anything in.

The location & seaviews were amazing. We stayed in.a family room which was huge. It had a double bed, single bed & set of bunkbeds. Plenty of space for 3 of us. My mummy had a king room which also had a set of bunkbeds. Staff were attentive and very pleasant! Cocktails were amazing!

Room cost 409 and the room was manky dirty dust everywhere bedding was lumpy shower was disgusting and there was help written in the dust on lamp shades so ye was a horrible stay!!! wouldnt come back
