Blue Bay Inn and Suites

1st off our mattress was nasty! Looked like blood stains on it, and they just slapped a (dirty) mattress protector on top of it. 2nd we stayed 3 nights 4 days and the house keeper came once (!) any other time we had to hunt them down. You only get towels once a day. (So if you go swimming/shower etc make sure you have your own) Also if you don’t speak Spanish don’t try and ask for anything with house keeping. The lady doesn’t speak English. Was staying on the 4th floor and the window was broken and all they did was put tape over it to “fix it”. Air conditioner doesn’t cool down the room. Only the bed right in front of it.
The pillows were hard as a rock on one bed and extremely soft on the other.
The elevator acted like it was going to break everytime you pushed the button.

Elevator, room had water damage and felt moist room was also very unsanitary blankets had weird stains and towels felt used

Unclean. Unkept. Outdated. The halls smelled weird. Staff did not seem to bothered by anything. Speaking of staff it was hard to tell who was staff.

There was mold, no a/c hot, the shower only had one door, & there was a door you could have access to another room and that’s weird. The person checking people in couldn’t change us rooms because it was too hot. The pool was dirty and floor was rough.

Outdated, nothing like the pictures. Everything was broken and the beds / pillows uncomfortable

I honestly never leave reviews, but this stay was bad enough that I felt like I should.
As soon as we walked into our room, there was a really strong musty smell. We tried to look past it, but then we noticed water dripping from the ceiling onto the desk where the microwave and coffee maker were plugged in, which was honestly pretty concerning.
When we checked the bathroom, it wasn't much better. The shower handle and water spout were almost coming out of the wall, and the whole room just felt like it hadn't been maintained in a long time.
We eventually went to bed, but woke up in the middle of the night because the room was so hot. I got up to check the AC, and the floor was actually slippery because it was so humid inside. The AC was blowing hot air instead of cold, and by the next morning it even smelled like something was burning.
The craziest part was when we were packing up to leave and found a crab just hanging out in the bathroom. At that point, we weren't even surprised anymore.
Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. There were multiple maintenance and safety issues that should have been addressed long before guests were checked into the room. I really hope these problems get fixed because no one should have to stay in a room like this.

The elevator took a while and the key was not picking up the room door assign but was fixed after the 3 rd time going back and forth to the front desk .
