Construction noise daily, bad breakfast buffet, packed with political dinners. I will never stay there again.
Cons:

Construction workers took up the entire lounging area drinking beer. First room had no water pressure. Finally got pressure to cold water after 7 min in cold shower. Tv did not work.
2nd day we were moved from the 2nd floor to the 9th. Still no tv available. After working on the tv for about 2hrs, we were moved again. We finally had regular cable. No daily made service. Minimal staff. Breakfast was comped due to our issues. Had we had to pay it was almost $40 for 2. Rubber eggs, bacon was so overcooked it hurt our teeth to chew it. They mentioned almost $15/day for parking. We complained. They said it was on the website but it wasn’t.

Pros:

Very good location and great customer service.

Cons:

They were having issues with the water shutting off. In the middle of a shower the water shut off then turned super cold. They took off our bill the cost of one night

Terrible experience we’ll never forget
Pros:

Thought booking a room at The Renaissance based on the reviews was a wise choice - wrong! The hotel is undergoing renovations which can be overlooked. What can’t be overlooked? The tufts of hair, dirty floors, small maybe dead bugs or random trash on floors, stains on sheets, and the very loud not PG13 shenanigans in the room next door. Save time, save money go stay somewhere else.

If you want to pay high prices but have cheap beds and rooms stay here
Pros:

Staff was respectful professional but not to open to conversation with us just the normal questions name on reservation card you’ll be using and here’s your room card

Cons:

The annoying noise from construction. Why not close the hotel down for construction people stay there to rest not to hear annoying sounds until 6pm and only to start back up at 7 am. And then the new beds are the most uncomfortable beds for the price we paid. The rooms look so simple but cheap. Wish they would have updated but stayed with the classic wood designs made it look so luxurious. Now it just looks cheap. $179 a night for a rust bathtub and unswept floors not impressed at all.

Wait until renovations are complete
Pros:

The location of the building is great, it’s surrounded by every convenience you would been. Initially, were on the 3rd floor which had not been renovated. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom so we were moved to the 2nd floor. The room was fine but the plumbing was terrible. The toilet clogged as soon as it was used and we had to wait until 7am the next morning for maintenance to fix it. As soon as he left it clogged again (there was already a history of this toilet clogging, apparently a previous guest flushed pantyhose down the toilet). However, we had to wait until after 12p the next day for someone to fix it. So in the mean time, for 2 days, I had to take my 3 kids downstairs to use the restroom every time they needed to go. Once the 2nd guy came to fix the toilet he had to call housekeeping to clean the floor, literally all they did was soak up the water, did not sweep or mop the bathroom during the entire stay which was 3 nights. Did not sanitize the bathroom at all.

The rest of the hotel had pros and cons as well. The indoor pool was the best part except that there was glass in the pool that cut my foot. Other than that, the pool was clean and inviting. In the pool locker room there are tiles missing from the ceiling.

I was disappointed to see we had been charged full price for the stay with the level of inconvenience we experienced, but the parking fee was waved.

Fine, just not happy for the price
Pros:

Rooms were fairly clean, but needed lots of maintenance. Carpet badly needs stretched, rust marks in bathtub, bottom of bedroom curtains torn up, wall paper starting to peel off walls, etc. There was some hair on the ceiling of bathroom as well. For what they charge per room, they need to do a lot of maintenance.

Not worth the price, as it sets right now, it is not worth more than 95 dollars a night.
Pros:

easy to get too, pool was good.

Cons:

Hotel was being remodeled, that's fine. But there was a huge water leak just as you walked in the front doors to the lobby. It leaked they entire stay, even when it had stopped raining for almost 24 hours. Pizza boxes were left in the hall for 3 days while we were there. They were never picked up (4th floor). In the hall when we checked in, still there when we checked out. Not enough towels, or sheets.

Not worth it
Pros:

The lobby and accommodations were nice

Cons:

Room was outdated and dingy. Bathroom wasn’t clean and lacked ventilation so showering ended up being a sauna. I didn’t have a working shower light in my bathroom, so it was a very dark shower definitely not worth the price point.

Not worth the price.
Cons:

I stayed here for a weekend trip and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. To start, they charged me $13 just to park in their parking lot, which I thought was strange because I would think that would be included in their nightly rate. They didn't give me a tag for my car or ask for my license plate, so I'm not even sure how this is validated, just seems like a money scam. Our room was extremely hot, even though the air said it was on 64, the room felt like it was 75. Later in the evening we left, and upon returning the entire lobby area was covered in water with towels spread across the floors. There wasn't any water bottles available in the lobby, the only water available was the $4 bottles in the room, again seemed like a money scam. Upon waking up to construction sounds at 6am, the floor below ours was completely blocked off. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned before checking in, as there were pink substances on the shower walls. Very disappointed.
