we had a full english for breakfast, cooked very well.
A shower. Not sure if I missed this when I booked but we had a small hand held shower head in a small bath.
All the old features to the building
No air conditioning
Staff really good helpful and friendly room very good quiet location. Couple of issues expertly and quickly resolved
Hiccup in restaurant 1.5 hour wait between closing evening meal and its arrival burnt acknowledged expertly and resolved by manageress
Lovely building and setting
Very helpful staff
Nothing I could think of except the weather🤣🤣
Very nice room, comfortable bed, enjoyable dinner
Loo had flush problems
Set in lovely grounds
As soon as you drive though the gates to go up the driveway there’s 2 or 3 large potholes, not a good first impression
The rooms are very tired and dust and cobwebs in corners/ceilings etc!
The stay was a lovely birthday treat for my husband, we had a lovely time together at the manor
Lovely hotel full of character. Our room exceeded expectations, spacious and the four poster bed very comfortable. Bathroom was huge and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the waitress.
Nothing negative to say about the hotel or our stay there.
The staff
Very tired property, strange smell, hairs on the floor behind the bathroom door
Location
Needed a good hoover & makeover
Very pleasant old building. Staff was very helpful
It was very hot weather. We were put in the attic room, no air conditioning. We are elderly and my friend battled to climb all the stairs. Later when we complained , we were put in a ground floor room with lovely air conditioning.
Nice breakfast. Proper bacon.
In room two, one of the bedside lights didn't work because the plug outlet doesn't work at all.
The fully floating toilet seat was a balancing act and the bath was so high off the floor I had to assist my wife to get in and out of the tub.
The fancy coffee machine didn't work, glad there was a kettle for backup.
Next morning, I reported these things to the young lady at reception when she managed to put her phone down (not the house phone) and said she would make a note of it.
Our friends in room one said they couldn't stand up in the bath to take a shower because of the sloping ceiling so they had to squat and splash in the tub.
I worked hard for my money and I would expect considerably better facilities for the £250 I paid for two rooms for one night.
I can't honestly recommend staying here.
Staff friendly and park like location
Very noisy cleaner at 7.30 clattering in their store room next to our room - woke us up prematurely.
Cost of still and sparkling water at dinner: £9.00 each seems excessive!
Lovely property in a good location
The staff was friendly with the exception of one female member of staff who antagonised us with her rude behaviour in the tea room.
