DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is not a Ritz!! Smoke and mirrors. It’s worse than any stay I’ve ever had! This is a fake Ritz, it was so run down, even a courtyard was better than this!! For what we paid the service was awful! Don’t get me started on how terrible the check in woman named Sandra was! She was so rude, The doorman never offered to take our bags. There wasn’t even anyone at the entrance the entire stay except when we came in. I don’t know what the deal is here but it’s a skeleton of a staff. The Bistro staff was great however! The room was rundown, carpet rundown, bathroom old. Better off somewhere else. Just do not stay here please!!!!!!
I enjoyed the stay here for the location (Georgetown is unique and insulated from DC politics, and a lovely place to stay and to walk around any time of year), and for the unique, historic, and small luxury hotel vibe. On arrival I enjoyed superb service and a tasty sandwich, even though it was very late in the evening, at the hotel bar. I also was happy with my quiet room that had plenty of natural light, and a good working space as well. Hope to have the privilege to stay here again one day!
Breakfast was expensive and I would give it a 7 out of 10
The restaurant staff were a 10 out of 10
Lobby coffee was on the cool side
Absolutely amazing 1 night stay at this hotel June 26-27, 2026. This Ritz-Carlton absolutely sets the bar for service!! Everyone we interacted with from the valet, front desk, housekeeping to the bartenders and servers, were all at the top of their game. Honestly, Marriott should have new employees spend time at this property to observe the ladies and gentlemen who work at this hotel to learn how to provide guests with a memorable experience. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable!
Awesome
Location with tired rooms and interior
Lobby smells funny . Slow check in . Bar is impersonable. Spa only open a few days a weeks
Property needs renovated
員工不是很友善 打電話說取消的機場車 他們自己沒處理 最後還是非要收錢 明明打了電話的 住了幾萬塊的酒店結果非要多收我們兩千
Always great. And tonight John the manager went over the top for us. So much appreciated! Frey was so attentive. The food is great! Thank you!!
We had a wonderful experience. This was a "staycation"--we've enjoyed Ritz hotels around the world, but wanted to try this one close to home because of the convenience, interesting architecture, and neighborhood. We also wanted to share the Ritz experience with our young son (this was his first time at a Ritz). It did not disappoint. We enjoyed the kids oriented amenities (e.g., check in activity bag and stuffed animal). The facilities are beautiful and well-maintained, the suite was very spacious with top notch design and care (and a really nice coffee machine). Everyone was very polite and almost everyone went above and beyond (as Ritz Ladies and Gentleman are known for). We look forward to returning and may make this a Thanksgiving family tradition.
Almost every staff member went above and beyond (which is something we have experienced and expected from Ritz hotels). Any request was quickly handled with options. For example, I thought one of the lamps didn't work in our room and let the front desk know. Within minutes an engineer was there (it was my mistake for not turning on the entrance light in the suite which also controlled that lamp). We also collect Ritz lions and was hoping to get one for our son. The lady who checked us in said that we couldn't do the wagon and pick a stuffed animal until we were checking out. But, I remembered a message (and the website) says that it the stuffed animal would be available "upon arrival" (which makes more sense--why let the child wait until they leave to get a new friend?). I asked through the chat this time and Wes went above and beyond--he came to our room within a few minutes and brought a Ritz Kids lion (which is discontinued but he had some for just this type of occasion). He had one for my son and one for us (I mentioned that we have a collection). We loved the stuffed animals and will cherish them because of the memory and that they are unique now (discontinued). Housekeeping stopped for turndown service and then left numerous chocolates (not just one or two). And, the gentleman who brought our room service breakfast was great--not only excellent in set up and demeanor, but was friendly and engaging with our son.
I highly recommend the Ritz Georgetown.
The location is perfect for exploring the dining and shopping of Georgetown. The Living Room is not to be missed for an evening of cocktails and snacks!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. After driving all day the atmosphere by the open fireplace was so relaxing and calming. The customer service was great and our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again.
Had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is intimate and relaxing and in a great location in the heart of Georgetown. What really stood out were the staff. They were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We traveled with 3 small kids and everyone went out of their way to help and keep the little ones happy. Everything was seamless.
Staff was amazing! Location was perfect. With our background consulting for forbes 5star hotels, it takes a lot to make us take note. This team was well trained and service oriented.
We stayed here for sentimental reasons. It is a great property at a great location. But it left a lot to be desired.
My expectation for a property when you are paying 1k a nite is extremely high. It does not compare to a Four Seasons or other like properties.
Worst “Ritz” experience I have ever had in my career. Rooms are nice but the gym and restaurant are so bad. Marriott is destroying the Ritz brand
We have stayed at this Ritz before (handful of years ago) and I remember liking it so we stayed again. The lobby/lounge area is beautiful but our room was in the far tower by the spa elevator (room # started with ‘E’) and it was beyond dated. I felt like we were in a Hampton in with a nicer bed. So basic and very dated. Not luxurious at all. I hate to even say this because the staff was nice but it was just a somewhat depressing experiencing. We won’t be staying there again. Over priced for what it was and just a let down.
Excellent as expected with a Ritz Carlton.
The service is exceptional.
Will be returning soon.
what are we paying for here? The room is very dated but it was spacious. Lacks updated amenities, sink was cracked. As is typical with RC, they nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. The concierges are great and very helpful but I would say the service was lackluster as a whole. Waited a very long time to be served in the lobby. I understand we are paying for the location but this was far too much money to pay for mid-tier service.
