★★★★★ An Exceptional Stay at The Park Chennai — Hospitality at Its Finest

I absolutely loved my stay at The Park Chennai. As a frequent traveller who has experienced hospitality in many parts of the world, I can genuinely say that the level of care and personal attention I received here was exceptional.

I would like to give special recognition to two outstanding members of the team — Ms. Manjusha and Naveen. Their enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to guest service were truly remarkable — their work ethic and enthusiasm are at a Vice-President level!

A very special appreciation goes to Naveen from Housekeeping. He single-handedly handled my expensive luggage and personal belongings with great professionalism and care. He personally collected my luggage, arranged it securely at the concierge lobby and ensured that everything was safely guarded until my return nearly two hours later. That level of responsibility and trust is something I rarely encounter, even as a frequent international traveller.

Ms. Manjusha was equally outstanding. She was constantly attentive and genuinely concerned about my comfort, checking on me regularly and making sure everything was in order. Her enthusiasm, warmth and proactive approach to guest service were clearly visible throughout my stay.

I was so impressed by their outstanding service that I will be sending a bouquet tomorrow as a personal gesture of appreciation to Manjusha and Naveen. They truly deserve the recognition.

Thank you, The Park Chennai, for giving me one of the finest hospitality experiences I have ever received. Staff like Manjusha and Naveen are a tremendous asset to the hotel. Their professionalism, sincerity and genuine care are what make a guest feel truly valued.

A fine place to stay in Chennai!
Pros:

It is cool that the location was on an old film studio and the decor reflected old India movie posters! Staff was helpful. Temperature was a nice respite from the heat. The pool was excellent. Room was clean but a bit run down. Still very acceptable and comfortable, just not 5 stars in US standards. Great Thai meal in the restaurant. It was a good place to land for a first time stay in India.

Cons:

The location was not fantastic, but there is a sweet little botanical garden across the street that was a respite from all the noise! Bathrooms were sufficient but not US 5 star standards. I would stay again, but would want to make sure there was not a location closer to things like the Pondy bazaar street or the beach that was a better location.

Disappointing .
Pros:

Location - convenient I guess to many areas, central location in Chennai .
Service of some staff .

Cons:

1. It’s rated as a five star hotel, but unfortunately it does not feel like one at all. Even the entrance to the hotel was in a mess with numerous cars crowding around/ randomly parking blocking path and the main door was being repaired in a messy manner .
2. I had booked a suite ( the highest category of room available ) for my one night stay . My cousin had also booked a similar room ( the same suite) for her family . I was given a room on the 4th floor while she was given a room on the 6th floor , directly above mine (4003 vs 6003). Her room was new and nicely renovated - while mine was clearly old, dated with old furnishings and fittings that were coming off and also dusty on top of that . Rusty mirrors , stained floors , bathroom door seal coming off, dirty corner walls , scratches on furniture - pls see attached photos . I do not understand how the hotel management can allocate a poorly done up old room like that when we are all paying the same amount of money for our 1 night stay . When asked about this , the front reception had no answer or explanation and when asked if we could have a better room, they were too full and couldn’t offer any. For anyone else who might get the same old room, they may not even be aware that there is a much better option available ( I only knew cos of my cousin) but this unfair to the customer.
3. The room was extremely noisy at night - and the road traffic was noise was coming through even at 3 am. On top of that , since it was a Saturday night- they were blasting loud music at the reception area and we could hear it all through the night . I had very very poor sleep in this noisy , dated room.

The staffs named gokul and lakshmi they did good job and the thing is this hotel they are keeping separate floor for online bookings because i have stayed in this same hotel a year back with hotel booking that room and floor was so different this floor is so mess and i found dirt in pillows whn i asked that the reception guy came to my rolm and mentioned you only changed to twin bed room i dont know how the dirt in pillows will justify this kind of answer even though ended up paying 7500 its like a 2 star hotel stay very worst will not at all recommend this hotel again
