Pros:

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We were only there one night. I can’t say enough about Husam. When we arrived he was bringing our luggage to our room. The following morning he was in the Resturant helping with breakfast. As we were leaving the hotel, to go to the airport, he was sweeping the steps in his suit. He takes a lot of pride in this hotel and it certainly shows. He is everywhere, working, to make sure all the guests are happy.

Nice location by the river.
Pros:

We have stayed in other Clayton/Maldron hotels and been satisfied, but we were disappointed with this one. It has a nice location by the river, with a 5 minute walk into the city centre. Breakfast staff were lovely, but we found reception staff quite curt. For example: although we'd received an e mail to say that our room was ready, when we used it, not enough towels had been provided. When contacting reception I was made to feel it was my fault for not having looked in the wardrobe for them! They weren't in the wardrobe. We'd booked this hotel because it had an onsite swimming pool. But it was closed for maintenance. We weren't forewarned and reception didn't appear concerned when we raised the issue.
It was helpful that parking was provided nearby at a reduced rate, but overall, if we visit Limerick again, we won't choose to stay at this hotel. It states it is a 4 star luxury hotel, but we didn't feel it lived up to that billing.

Good location for the city and St.John’s Castle.Our room was clean and spacious with a great view of the Shannon.
Breakfast was good too.The quay area was really lively for the bank holiday.
