Value for money - good location, great complimentary breakfast and adequate rooms
Pros:

The location is right in the heart of the bustling nightlife hub, Dotonbori. I am not much of a party person, but this still provided the opportunity to observe the nightlife as an outsider, while also providing really easy access to other parts of the city. Also for me, I did not face noise from outside the property.

The room itself was adequately sized - tight as usual but I could open two suitcases at the same time, which is often not a given in Japan.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had a nice spread.

Overall - for the price I paid, it was a very value for money stay.

Cons:

Please note that there is often a lot of solicitation in this area, especially for the girl/host bars - I do not fall in their target audience group, but if you are East-Asian (especially Japanese) or female, the experience may be less pleasant if you are not looking for this.

The room was rather dated itself. This includes some major things like color palettes, needing a new coat of paint and a seemingly old bathroom design, bedroom doors letting in noise from the corridors as well as some more basic stuff - for instance, this was the first time in a long time that I stayed in a hotel that had very uninviting white lighting in the rooms, instead of the standard warm white/yellow. It made a big difference to the ambience, pushing it closer to that of a hospital than a hotel - and should be quite a low-cost fix!

Desayuno muy rico, staff encantador y ubicación muy buena. Hemos estado en otros hoteles de Japón y el tamaño de la habitación era mayor, lo cual nos hizo más cómoda la estancia
