The location and grounds alone make this place very special but it's getting old.
Pros:

Property grounds were stunning- the gardens and landscaping were a beautiful sight to take in every morning. The rooms were large and amenities quite modern. Staff did their best to assist wherever possible.

Cons:

The ID was a little outdated and ostentatious. While the rooms were large the seating was limited. The smart WC inthe bathroom failed and that was unpleasant for a few hours till they fixed it. The aircon mysteriously turned off on our second night and a good rest was spoiled. The hotel did not do anything to compensate us for the inconvenience- no effort whatsoever despite complaints to the front desk- they should have done better,

Luxury in the Green heart of the city
Pros:

Luxury experience in a green compound in the heart of the city. Great gym, pool and spa facilities, mind boggling breakfast. Rooms feel large, have free-standing bathtubs and offer views of the park and city. About 1km walk to the metro, but it's a fine walk along a large road and park near the university so even that walk feels like a nice experience.

Exceptionnel au cœur de Shanghai

힙한 우캉루에서 별로 멀지 않고 주변 분위기도 조용하니 너무 좋음. 시설 좋고 아 정말 호텔이다-싶은 여유로움이 있음. 정원도 너무 좋고 주변 산책도 좋음. 바로 옆에 붙은 운남 음식점도 진짜 너무 맛있습니다. 호텔 식당도 음식 다 준수하고 좋았음. 호텔 스테이를 겸해서 가신다면 대만족일듯

내가 묵은 객실은 일단 냉장고 파워가 너무 약했고..구조적으로 냉장고에 뭘 집어넣기 어렵게 되어있음 상하이 가면 자른 과일같은거 좀 사서 넣어놓고 야금야금 먹는데 그러기 어려움. 그리고 가까운 거리에 편의점이나 슈퍼 없습니다...

Fawlty Towers on the Huangpu. Awful, uncomfortable rooms.

The room they swapped us into at least had a door on the bathroom.

Cons:

Transparent door on the bathroom, bathtub in the middle of the room. They charged me extra to move me to a room with a solid bathroom door.

NO AIR CONDITIONING, the temperature in the room was 26C (about 80+ F). When I tried to leave a window open the staff recalcitrantly closed it every time.

A room booked for three adults was provided with ONE BED. They did offer a free extra bed but it was too short for an adult and did not include a mattress, it was hard as a rock. They admitted that they don't actually have any rooms for three adults. Then why do they make them available to bookers??

The pillows were likewise like bricks.

The toilet beeped loudly in the middle of the night.

The staff were entirely unhelpful and frankly seemed a bit brain-dead.

I lived in Shanghai for three years so I knew not to expect much for my money. Congratulations Radisson for not even meeting my low expectations. We barely got any sleep over three nights and could not wait to leave.
