Baymont on the lake by Wyndham Hot Springs

The Hotels ONLY elevator was broken . We had to use the stairs . We were on the 3rd floor and had suitcases . The pool was literally GREEN . Hard to believe 1 week before was July 4th . Room was somewhat clean but did have cobwebs .
Hair dryer did not work . We were very disappointed . It was an anniversary get away too . Will not recommend to others .
We should get a refund .
After talking to front desk and filed a complaint , no one called to get back with us .

The elevator being broke and the facilities were falling apart like walls and flooring.

The bathroom and sink were nasty and the toilet wobbled when you sat on it. The floor throughout was damp and sticky feeling, the lampshade had grime around the inside edge and the air conditioner was propped up with an old pc of cut-off 2 x 4. The hallway carpets needed replacing cause I believe they were probably too dirty to get cleaned properly. There was trash mixed in with the algae in the pocket. The patio chairs and awnings were ripped and torn. I uploaded pictures of all of this. The breakfast choices were not great (the eggs looked watery and the little fridge didn't look that clean, maybe it was just old.) My health hasn't been the best so I wanted a hotel instead of an airbnb, that way I wouldn't have to cook breakfast. It great there was a nearby Waffle House. I would have left early and demanded a refund if it had been for more than one night.

The fact that the guy at the front desk charged me a extra $25 dollar for a balcony room when it was a request that I made upon booking the room. He was also very unfriendly.

Was not clean, our bathtub was damaged, sealing was terribly dirty, hallway smelled like weed. And the elevator was not working. I am disabled and had a hard time getting up and down stair well

Upon arrival to the Hotel it was obvious from the faded exterior and interior decor that it was dated, and needed a lot of help. When we entered the room after a very lengthy check in we noticed that the A/C leaked ALOT of water back into the room so I went back downstairs and informed the front desk, which was only one (1) person working the desk, whereas she merely supplied me with four (4) towels and said “this is all I can do because there is no housekeeping here, and I’m the only person working”. I was tempted to leave, however it was already 7:30 p.m. and there was not a lot of options for hotels on a Friday night, and we had not eaten, so we placed the towels on the floor and went to eat. After we returned from eating we needed more towels due to the leaking A/C had not stopped and as we were placing more towels on the floor we noticed that the bathroom light kept flickering to the point that it would go completely out, and then turn back on. We had been traveling for most of the day so we decided to just go to bed and leave early the next morning. However, upon waking up to get an early start we discovered that the elevator had stopped working, and we were on the fourth floor. UGH!!! We did notice on the way down to eat the night before that the Elevator Inspection Sticker had been expired since November of 2025. It was not until then that we actually noticed all of the deficiencies with the “deluxe king room” that we booked. This place was not only a health hazard, but probably a fire hazard as well. Almost all of the switch plates as well as the plug plates were warped with a lot of dirt and debris behind them as the were curved away from the walls from being so old and outdated. There was an old Gatorade bottle under one of the tables, and dirt in every corner of the room that looked like they had just been sweeping the dirt and trash under the couch and tables.
