The room size was great, the ambiance was nice, breakfast was great, AC was good.
Room window sound proofing can be improved.
Excellent reception team.
The hotel rooms are outdated, lack character, and are not well maintained, especially the bathroom area.
THIS IS NOT A 4 STARS HOTEL!
easy parking, nice breakfast
Comfortable beds. Close to station and old town. Good continental breakfast. Majority of staff were friendly and helpful.
Old and in need of refurbishment. Hot food at breakfast could be better. Booked a standard room and due to some issues was upgraded to a deluxe room which was a big improvement. I would recommend booking the deluxe. Did not realise that you cannot take water back to your room from breakfast and was stopped by the hostess who was unnecessarily extremely rude. Disappointing but all other staff were lovely.
Breakfast exceeded our expectations – very rich, fresh and with a great variety of choices. And good coffee!
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Leon d’Oro. We chose it for a long weekend in Verona, where our main reason for visiting was to attend Nabucco at the Arena, while also exploring this beautiful city.
The hotel has a classic and elegant atmosphere with a beautiful connection to Verona’s operatic heritage. We loved the artistic details throughout the hotel—from the cello displayed in the lobby to the vintage sewing machines, opera costumes, musical scores and other carefully curated decorative pieces. These details give the hotel a unique character and make it much more than just a place to stay.
Our room was spacious, quiet, spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options.
The location is excellent for visiting Verona, and we especially enjoyed returning to such a peaceful and elegant hotel after a day of sightseeing and an unforgettable evening at the opera.
The only thing that felt a little unusual at first was the pedestrian tunnel leading toward the hotel. Initially, we weren’t sure how safe it would feel, especially in the evening, but after using it several times we realized it was completely safe and never had any concerns.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Leon d’Oro to anyone visiting Verona.
It’s not related to the hotel, it’s the way there.
At first, the pedestrian tunnel leading to the hotel made us feel a little uncertain, especially in the evening. However, after using it several times, we realized it was completely safe and never had any problems. We use to walk to the city or back to the hotel, several times.
The location and on site parking and the breakfast was lovely and so much choice!
The A/C in the room would not work it would no go below 25 degrees and it was extremely hot during our stay!!
