Closest to metro.
The places smells of dogs. They allowed all types of pets in addition to service dogs and all rooms and hallways have carpet. The price of this hotel in no longer worth the value unless they remove this old carpet throughout the hotel or place guest with pets in rooms without carpet. The quality has definitely gone down along with customer service. Looking for another hotel in future to stay with in that area.
I have been going to this hotel for over 10 years. The location is key and I love the old town of Alexandria
I have been going to this hotel for over ten years and for the first time, did not feel super welcomed by the staff. The rooms were musty smelling. The pull out sofa was broken and all sunken in. The breakfast was below expectations. I don't know if it's new owner's but not sure I will continue to go back there when I visit Alexandria. It's really sad because the location is amazing. The hotel was still decent but since I Have had such great experience over the past 10 years, it was sad to see some decline with the hotel staff and amenities.
I went with my family, and we stayed 10 nights. Throughout the stay, we had no problem. All the staff have been very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The area is very quiet. Of course, when we return to Alexandria, we will stay there again.
Room was comfortable, bed was comfortable....it was quiet. Walking distance for the metro and Old Town Alexandria. Free shuttle for anywhere within 1 mile.
Breakfast was meh...the "hot" foods were cold.
Parking a car was $50 per night, but it was secure parking
The staff. They were pleasant and always smiling. They were very helpful, courteous and very friendly. They anticipated your needs and went out of their way to help. We traveled a lot in Canada and Ameuca. This hotel by far has the best staff. A house manager named Frankie led by example and exemplified outstanding customer service. This is Marriotts better hotels.
No airport shuttle
Close to the metro line and not far from downtown area.
Love the location of our hotel. Walking distance to the waterfront and so much more. Able to get the shuttle to rent bikes... And then got picked up, to too. Staff was so friendly!! Will definitely stay here next time!!

Super Ausstattung und sehr nettes Personal. Es gibt einen inkludierten Shuttleservice innerhalb einer Meile. Die Lage zum Bhf, wie zur Waterfront ist sehr gut.
Der hoteleigene angebotene Parkplatz ist recht teuer mit 50 $pro Tag. Es gibt günstigere Alternativen in der Nähe.
This was a normal 24 hour trip to DC to visit friends-- in & out. Property was great for what I needed-- close to airport, booked on points, easy peasy. Well, until it was time for me to check-out and catch my flight home out of DCA-- I asked if I could take the hotel shuttle to the metro station down the road-- it's not far but I had my bags so I thought, why not? Sebastian took me promptly and safely and that was that. Except, well it wasn't. I apparently dropped my phone (with all my credit cards/ID) upon exiting the shuttle and didn't realize until I was going to pay my metro fare...oops. So I assumed I had left it in the shuttle-- so I huffed it back to the hotel to grab it from the shuttle, except, it wasn't in the shuttle. But not to worry-- Sebastian suggested we call it and see if anyone has grabbed it...and next thing you know we're talking to Sid, a good samaritan who had picked it up and was walking to his job from the Metro. He was going to keep it safe...so Sebastian and I packed up my bag again and headed off in the shuttle to find Sid (with my phone, ID& money). About 5 minutes later we had found Sid walking to his job and I was reunited with my only way home. Without Sebastian going over & above I would be likely talking security into allowing me on a flight...and how I would have gotten to the airport with zero money....no idea.
This morning reinforced my belief that people out here really want to help others. I'll forever be grateful to Sebastian for playing a leading role in this story-- 5 stars to say the very least.
Hotel is nice. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me out. But they block Fox News for some reason. The channel shows up in the lineup, but it’s just a black screen. Kind of ridiculous.

-easy parking in attached deck
-clean room and common areas
-large room with kitchen
-great location--walkable to most of Old Town Alexandria
-near Metro for trips into DC
cons:
-most of staff was difficult to communicate with due to language barriers
-breakfast was just okay
good to know:
-parking deck has multiple levels with different ceiling heights--there were all sorts of vehicles parked without issue--turns are tight and spaces kind of narrow
-quiet rooms on back side facing cemetery
-parking fee $50/day as of August 2026
