We loved the location as it was in a slightly quieter part of the city. The boat bus was right across from the hotel, so it was very easy to get out and about. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by a really friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome.
Our telephone didn't work. We had to call the hotel from our mobile phones to get put through to room service and then we were often disconnected. When room service finally arrived it took ages and was very average. The plugs in the shower/bath didn't work properly and it took a while for water to drain after a shower.

Todo en general. Estar a tres paradas en vaporetto de la Plaza de San Marcos. Zona muy tranquila, bien comunicada.
Desayuno fantástico! Habitación suite grande y espaciosa para dos adultos y dos niños. Cama grande de matrimonio y sofá cama también grande y cómodo.
La limpieza de las instalaciones del hotel y la amabilidad del personal son puntos a destacar.
Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en este hotel y siempre ha sido un verdadero acierto.
Totalmente recomendable.
Quizás y por poner una pega que para nosotros no fue ningún problema es que en la zona donde está ubicado el hotel abundan árboles donde proliferan las cigarras con su intenso y reconocible canto sobretodo en los meses de verano. Desde la habitación se podían escuchar pero no es un ruido que te impida el descanso.
We were on a tour so the hotel was specified for us, not that I’m complaining.
Hotel Indigo Venice Sant Elena was a very decent offering, a short boat ride away from the Venetian mainland, which is where you’ll arrive by land, and St Marks Square where all the action is.
The hotel itself is nestled within a residential area a fair (but doable) stroll away from St Marks Square, not that we attempted the walk - just catch the public ferry from the nearby terminus.
Our room, which was on the ground floor and adjacent to the garden, was modern and well appointed while maintaining that quaint European vibe we all cherish. Buffet breakfast was excellent.

Its ambience and location.
Nothing.
We are regulars at Hotel Indigo around the World. This was not up to their usual standard.
1. Welcome was poor. Reception staff at check in ignored us for a minute as were busy talking to each other.
2, Room was ready early which was welcome
3. Room was dark with poor lighting. Four downlighters and a couple of wall lights that made it very gloomy.
4. No coffee machine, just cheap instant sachets. Quite a shock really.
5. No ironing board or iron in the room.
6. Bed was crammed into a tight space meaning there was hardly any room down either side. Pillows were tired and thin.
7. No decent shower, basically a bath with a handheld head fastened to the wall.
8. Breakfast was okay but lacking in a decent fruit selection and nothing was freshly cooked.
Overall, we weren’t overly impressed and won’t be returning.
