The Signature Level at Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa

Hotel, staff and accommodation all very good; breakfast is very good too; however al a carte restaurants need improvement in quality and choice.

We would like to recognize Francesco V. for his outstanding service during our stay at the Grand Palladium Resort.

He served us yesterday at Chang Thai and, by coincidence, again today at El Dorado. On both occasions, he greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel very welcome.

Yesterday, he took the time to explain the restaurant’s offers and, when the Grand Palladium mobile app wasn’t working, he kindly let us use his phone to view the menu. It was a thoughtful gesture that really showed his dedication to ensuring we had a great dining experience.

Today, we were delighted to see him again at El Dorado, where he continued to provide excellent service with the same positive attitude and friendly smile. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile make him a great asset to the resort.

Thank you, Francesco, for making our meals even more enjoyable. We hope to see you again when we return next year!

It's certainly a beautiful oasis of peace, an all-inclusive that feels more private and quiet than its sister hotel Grand Palladium.

The pool is great, comfortable sunbeds, always found some; the beach (although rocky at the beginning, if you go a bit further there are great zones of sand, anyway - bring
watershoes!) has an excellent landscape view, with mountains being visible on the coast; in awe with the fact that there's a designated area for signature guests were very comfortable sunbeds were always available! the rooms are nice, clean, beautiful natural light (in the main building). What i really enjoyed about the hotel was the food and the drinks, so here it goes:

breakfast - nice a la carte options for enhanced comfort, the fact that the signature guests have acces to their own breakfast restaurant was a great touch, as sometimes having to start your morning with noisy and chaotic, typical buffets can be quite dreadful!
Would like to mention Gianfranco and Cristina here, nice and friendly service everyday!

lunch - so you've got two options - either the main buffet or the positano restaurant. we only chose the latter as we enjoyed the fact that there's a designated table area for signature guests! It also offers both a la carte options (great mussels and pasta!), as well as a decent buffet. However, I would like to highlight that i certainly felt the need for a higher variety of fruits, both at breakfast and lunch

dinner - well, my tip: go to the a la cartes for sure! Positano and El dorado were honestly a dream - AMAZING food, and i truly mean it! And I would want to highlight the nicest lady at el dorado - Elena M - who not only offered a top-notch service, but also made heavenly, mouthwatering cannoli! Rarely have i seen such delicious and sophisticated meals in all inclusive resorts! Wish we could have tried the Thailandese one but unfortunately it was full right the day we could! So book them in advance. The dinner buffet is alright, however not a highlight. Here la like to mention the hostess from the Siciana, i think her name was Elena!

Drinks - GREAT selection of drinks, definitely NOT watered down, a huge variety even for mocktails! Definitely a highlight

Activities - the resort offers excellent facitilies for those wanting to stay active and have fun.
There is a great football pitch, as well as volleyball and petanque.

Now, you might wonder, WHY would I deduct a star, if everything seemed delightful?!
A: The World Cup.

When a major, global event is happening with hundreds of million of fans keen to watch the games, being a 5-star hotel that caters to the INTERNATIONAL public and providing NO access to streaming the matches is, nevertheless, a shame.
And no, the Italians' collective bitterness over not qualifying is hardly a reason.

Firsty, there's a dedicated a sports bar on-site.
By all basic logic, as we wanted to watch a game on our first day there, we decided to pay it a visit. Beautifully displayed football jerseys welcome you, only for you to quickly understand that there is no football being streamed on any tv there whatsoever. Isn't this a pinnacle of absurdity? Golf and tennis while Messi's scoring a hattrick at his last world cup.
Make it make sense.
When we brought it up with the waiters, they gave us a nonsensical answer about only having access to Sky tv.

Accepting our fate, we checked with the reception, who told us that we can watch matches in the rooms via the national television
channel RAI 1, which broadcast one match of choice per day. Still, better than nothing, right?

Except when we went to our rooms (2 rooms), the TVs had absolutely no signal. The lobby sent up a teenage boy who, through no fault of his own, had no idea how to fix it. He promised to send an electrician who never actually arrived. For four days, we had zero access to the tournament.

Then, one day a miracle happened :)
They decided to broadcast the England match , (presumably as the English fanbase here would have been revolted otherwise), on a single TV at the lobby, which not only was so far away that I had to zoom in on my phone to see who was being subtituted, but there was also NO sound.
"Amazing", vibrant atmosphere, what can I say!

I truly felt this was unacceptable especially since, on our second stay on the island at another 5 star resort, in a different area, they broadcasted every game in their amphitheatre!

Conclusion: If you plan to stay here, definitely understand that the Signature tier is WORTH it, and don't visit during a major sporting event!

our fourth visit to this wonderful hotel once again delivered on every level we keep coming back because of the fantastic service and every visit reminds us why it’s one of our favourite places to stay. One of the things that makes this hotel so special is that many of the staff are generations of the same family and they remain the same year after year. no matter where you are on the property, the staff greet you with genuine warmth and are always friendly, attentive and helpful. The hotel itself is well-maintained and spotlessly clean throughout. every restaurant serves high-quality food but a special mention has to go to Portofino on the beach. It’s a beautiful setting to enjoy a delicious meal while watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand. once again we had a fantastic holiday and were well looked after. Start to finish. A huge thank you to the entire team at TSL breakfast, the Portofino restaurant, the TSL Reception staff, the buggy drivers who make endless journeys between TSL and the main Reception and finally to the wonderful customer service services team. - Catarina & Gianna, who were full of helpful advice great ideas and warm hospitality.

Overall, our stay at Grand Palladium Sicily was a great experience. The staff are very friendly and I was impressed at the Signature Level welcome (bell boy waiting for our car to arrive at reception so clearly the security gate had radioed ahead) and the attention that all staff gave throughout the week. Next time we'd opt to stay in a room with a balcony rather than a bungalow, which we found on the small side but perfectly adequate. We missed being able to sit out on an evening and have a view of what was going on. Book the A La Carte restaurants as soon as you get your room number and book as many as you can right away. We booked three nights initially as soon as we arrived and there was plenty of availability for the rest of the week across all three A La Carte's. But at breakfast the next morning, nothing was available. Portofino restaurant was our favourite for the evenings. El Dorado is a meat eaters haven and it has a very limited non-meat menu. Reserving sunbeds is a no no (but it did happen), and we found it was easy to get a bed by the signature level pool before 10.30am. The signature level area above the beach is also nice as is the sea-front area where there are plenty of sunbeds too. We took the shuttle into Palermo - arrived at 11am and was picked up a 5pm. Plenty of time to explore. Make sure you plan ahead to decide what to see and try and get a good street map. We found our Google maps couldn't cope with all the tiny side streets. We also did a half day trip to Cefalu - that was a fantastic morning. The beach is lovely and so is the old town. Sicilian locals are very friendly and helpful. Take time to talk to people - we found a little Italian goes a long way!

Really good place to stay, very clean and very friendly staff. The pool area was not overcrownded and easy to find sunbeds without getting up very early. Booking the restaurants was easy and they were of good quality. Very peaceful location.

A very comfortable experience Signature Level facilities were excellent and the staff were attentive, helpful and polite. Would heartily recommend the hotel.

The hotel is really comfortable especially the signature Level area. The food is delicious in every restaurant. The staff is very nice and always helpful. We would especially thank Viola, Rossella, Roberto, Muscarella, Angelo C., the grill man in the lunch restaurant at the beach , the barmaid who can speak Polish. They made our stay that special.

Beautiful quiet pool area, comfortable public areas, loved Signature level! All staff were so friendly and helpful, I could not fault them. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Loved that the drinks were replenished daily in the fridge in our room. The Signature APP was informative and the ‘chat’ was convenient if we had any questions. If you like peace & quiet I would definitely go with signature level. I would give the holiday overall a 9.5/10.

great staff, very friendly good food, quite remote hence slightly lower location score but you can still get to places with transport links

Lovely hotel but I would state you have to upgrade to signature level to get the best experience. I will state if your like me a beach person, your probably going to be very disappointed. Generally though this is a lovely hotel and I don’t understand why some people pull it to pieces.

Everything was amazing! We were upgraded to a better room for free, and the check-in process was very pleasant and smooth. The room cleanliness and housekeeping were excellent — my compliments to the cleaning staff. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided. The food at the buffet and restaurants was incredibly delicious — as a vegan, I truly appreciated that they prepared special meals just for me, thank you so much! The staff were very friendly and never intrusive, it was a pleasure to talk with them. The bars and cocktails were also great. Wi-Fi worked perfectly across the entire resort. I also really enjoyed the spa experience. Additionally, the hotel app was very convenient — it made it easy to check schedules, book restaurants, entertainment, and room service.

Avid traveller of 5 star resorts so my opinion is based on comparatives I have had in the past.
Overall this is a nice resort. I wouldn't agree it was a fully 5 star experience though.
Staff are very good and keep the resort at a high standard, with cleanliness, communication, friendliness. Special mention to Khali at reception signature level, Valatina guest relation and Remi one of the head chefs. All helped make our experience 5 star.
My biggest shout is the El Dorado steak restaurant, I eat a lot of steaks and this restaurant gave me the best i've ever had. Theres a premium but they cut your steak choice in front of you, then cook to perfection and serve either on a sizzler with a bed of rock salt or under a flame.
The Lobby bar at signature made some fantastic cocktails also. Chang thai for breakfast was also very good and all worthy of a 5 star resort.
the grounds throughout were very clean.
My honest opinion would also say the hotel seems more geared for familys with most activities and entertainment on offer being kids or family orientated. Swimming pools are very shallow, waist height shallow. The beach is rocky and the sea was varaible in calmness. Late September did see a couple days of heavy rain and being overcast for us but very warm and for me more tolerable heat then when i visited Italy in July. I didn't rate the buffet at Sicillia at any level i found it poor quality unfortunately and with my hotel experiences i would say high 3 maybe 4 star in food quality and ambience. Drinks on offer at any restaurant was more 3-4 star included offerings. I Also didnt like Portifino the italian beach restaurant and a la carte for signature level guests. The food was bland and underflavoured, fish had a lot of bones on the fillets and overal i didnt rate any dish had
The sports bar served a nice pint and offered sit down meals which were okay. The hotdog looked nice but varied in how nice it actually was on the couple times we ordered it. Still I prefered it here then Portifino for lunch or the sicillia buffet.
Feedback on check in would be forcing the tourism tax on arrival was uneeded considering we were there for a week and arrived sub 1am, these things can wait when your clients are clearly exhausted from a long day.
The pool bars and beach bar served 3 star drinks in 3 star cups. If your going to shout about Signature level and signature perks it needs to be met at all bars or your clients can feel like they have overpaid.

Excellent hotel. Very good facilities. Lovely staff. Ala Carte are of a high standard.
Signature level is worth it.

We had a weeks stay at the end of September and the hotel and staff lived up to our expectations. Nice to see the same happy staff as previous years again. Good vibes, food and relaxing break.
