Amazing location, fabulous views and adorable staff !
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and spotless clean, with the charm of the old caves together with the comfort of modern amenities. The staff was adorable, especially Antonio who gave us a free upgrade and really made our one night stay an unforgettable experience ! Delicious breakfast as well with plenty of options, breathtaking view and superb location just few steps away from the Duomo and where the latest James Bond was filmed - truly fabulous stay !

La ubicación es buenísima. El personal muy amable. El desayuno estupendo. La habitación super amplia y preciosa.

Cons:

Lo que no me gusto es que me recomendaron dejar el coche en un parking de las afueras y que me acercasen en un transfer. Sin embargo una vez allí descubrí que el transfer no era cortesía del alojamiento sino que lo tenia que pagar yo y me cobraron 20 € por ida y 20€ por vuelta para un viaje de 5 min. Esto me pareció una estafa y lo que no me parece correcto es que un alojamiento como este no ofrezca su servicio de recogida gratuito en el precio.

Pros:

Nos dieron un free upgrade y vaya upgrade a una suite. Habitacion con jacuzzi, salon, amplio, baño y medio. Todo limpio. La cama y almohada perfectos! El desayuno genial! Sitio tranquilo con un restaurante arriba con buenas vistas y todo centrico.

Cons:

Lo unico malo que diria y por donde esta en el Sassi es el llegar al hotel, recomiendo si vas con maletas pedir un pickup (esto si lo veo un poco caro la verdad...).

Das Hotel ist ein absoluter Traum. Wahnsinnig guter Service und super Essen machen den Aufenthalt zu einem luxuriösen Erlebnis. Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade auf eine Suite mit Pool bekommen.
Die Zimmer sind toll gestaltet und sehr einzigartig.
Die Dachterasse hat einen tollen Ausblick auf Matera.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Pros:

Very nice place. A great plus is the quality of the team, from the welcoming to the restaurant and breakfast. Location is good, rooms are neat, qualitative and well decorated, as well as the hotel itself. Small hotel of 12 rooms is good.

Cons:

Some hair in my room and bathroom.

The hotel is beautiful and they treated me exceptionally well…this is a gorgeous hotel! Perfect location!
Pros:

This property is a former palace and is beautiful! It has all the history of a Matera cave house but the modern amenities that compromise a very nice hotel. My room was spacious and spotless. They had a wide array of gluten free breakfast items - gluten free bread, cereals, brownies - and they had almond milk as I cannot have dairy. Best of all - the staff could not have been any nicer. They are from Matera and have some amazing stories about their families living in the Sassi. You can tell how much pride they take in their jobs and the passion they have for Matera. They also genuinely love people and it shines through in their service. I also had back surgery in November, so moving luggage isn’t the easiest. They have an elevator on the property if you need it and they assisted with transporting my baggage from my taxi upon arrival to the hotel, and to my taxi upon departure. Anything you need and they will take care of you. I would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful view and the perfect location. You’re within walking distance of all the churches, restaurants and shops. Giovanna and Marco at the front desk were so wonderful!
