Excellent stay with NYX
Pros:

Staff was brilliant! Booked last minute after turning up to our Airbnb and being extremely dissatisfied.

Great hotel and location.
Pros:

Very clean, great staff, air conditioning was amazing, loved the complimentary water bottles and the fresh backed cookies by check in.

Cons:

There is a bar in the lobby but it was never open. It would have been so nice to sit on one of the lovely couches and have a not had to go outside and around the corner to the restaurant. Also there was no plug for the hair dryer in the bathroom and had to be used by the desk but there was no mirror. Also it was a bit pricey for our stay.

Already said what I need.
Pros:

The hotel lobby was well appointed.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The night shift counter person was very helpful and completely different than the previous 2 we dealt with..

Cons:

We arrived a the hotel after flying hours from Canada overnight.
The hotel counter person told me we did not have a reservation.
I explained we had been emailing for some time and showed him. He told me that was not their website.
I explained my daughter was in the hotel arriving yesterday and gave him her name. He told me there was no one there registered by that name.
He was very dismissive and clearly not interested in helping us.
He asked me to step aside so he could deal with another customer behind us.
I phoned my daughter and she came to the front desk from her room upstairs in the hotel.
Another counter person arrived and eventually helped us sort out the issue.
I was tired and just wanted to rest after flying all night and being 70 years old and my wife 71.
Our reservation was found eventually.
We were given a room and we were on our way.
This was our first ever visit to Ireland and I was not impressed to say the least,
I travel a fair amount mostly in Canada and have never been treated in this manner EVER. It left a very bitter taste for us.
I have Irish ancestors and Irish friends at home. I cannot imagine them treating any visitor like we were treated.
I will be hard pressed to recommend this hotel to friends or family.
The hotel itself was fine but your staff member was less than competent and clearly in the wrong profession. He disappeared before I was able to get his name.

Wonderfull Staff and amazing experience
Pros:

I booked the NYX Hotel because of its perfect location, just across the road from Dublin City Hall, where I got married on the 3rd of June this year. I wanted somewhere comfortable and convenient to get ready before the ceremony, and I honestly couldn't have made a better choice.

From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was absolutely wonderful. They went far beyond what I ever expected to make my wedding day even more special. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference, and I can't thank them enough.

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The service was exceptional throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly warm, polite, and attentive. They even looked after my children with drinks while we were waiting for our taxi, making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for.

This hotel will always hold a special place in my heart because of how well they treated us on such an important day. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

If you're planning to get married at Dublin City Hall, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at the NYX Hotel. It's the perfect place to get ready for your big day, and you'll be looked after by an outstanding team. Thank you for helping make one of the happiest days of my life even more memorable.

Pros:

Clean, good location and not too loud.

Cons:

Our door would not lock which made us uncomfortable. We stayed with management until the issue was resolved which took a lot of time since maintenance was already out for the day. We missed our dinner reservation and were told we would receive something for our trouble. The only thing they could offer us was breakfast or a drink at the hotel to which we declined because we had plans to explore the city and not stay in the hotel during our short stay. We asked for a price reduction and we were told we would hear from management and I still haven’t heard anything. When the issue was first brought to managements attention, they told us to just close the door and leave and they would keep an eye on everything which just didn’t make us feel very comfortable. The issue eventually got resolved but I was disappointed in the lack of effort of making things right after the inconvenience.

Great location
Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff. Funky decor (former Hard Rock).

Cons:

Rooms are on the small side and the bathroom is open to the room which was not ideal. Every time we walked over the “Rainbow Bridge” to get to our building, we thought about pets who have passed on as Rainbow Bridge is a metaphor/poem describing where pets go after they pass away.

Perfect place in a great location!
Pros:

The staff was extremely helpful! We came a bit early, and they took our bags for us. The location was perfect. It was very centrally located, but still quiet in the evenings. If you like taking Hop-On Hop-Off attractions, there is a stop across the street from the hotel. The room was extremely clean. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dublin!
