Location and access to the airport was great! A brilliant place to spend a couple of days when landing to acclimatise.
Be careful of the ‘beach view’… we had a side view of the beach… which was fine but not what we expected. However, the views from the rooftop pool and the restaurant made up for it.
Also if ordering dinner in the restaurant, be prepared for really long waits…. Food was delicious, but we waited more than an hour and a half for it to be delivered. Waited 30 mins for our bottle of water to arrive!
We found the hotel very comfortable.
Staff very polite, especially Mr. Christopher at the Reception, Mr. Dullewe at the restaurant and the Chef Mr. Saman.
Food was great including the buffet breakfast.
It's better to keep a good track of customer requests (we asked for 2 tea bags which never came) and also the TV experience can be improved (no CNN, and a couple of HBO or other film channels can be added; it was a depleted PEO package which is available).
Rest is all very good.
The property has a great view of the ocean & the rooftop restaurant & pool area is quite nice. It’s within a 15-20 minute drive of the airport, so pretty close if you’re doing a one night stay upon arrival/departure.
For the price we paid, several electrical outlets did not work around the room and the food was pretty poor quality (in comparison to the rest of Sri Lanka which has phenomenal food). The staff couldn’t assist me in booking a transfer/taxi to the airport, which is a service I thought a hotel of this calibre could provide.
The sea view
Very clean, well looked after by all the staff, especially by Harshana who was helpful at the front desk with our check in

Reception staff took more than 40 minutes to check us in even we were two rooms only and was no other customers were there.
Bedding was not comfy and furniture was heavily used.
The reason why I am writing to you today is because I stayed in your hotel lately, having checked in after 11:00 p.m. In general, everything went well – my room was comfortable and the food was delicious. But I would like to comment specifically on my experience of checking in into the hotel.
Initially, I wanted to make a booking of the sea-view room via Booking.com but there was no option for it. Being in the lobby, I tried to arrange it somehow. It was the only receptionist working in the lobby who did all his best to assist me with upgrading my room.
However, the Front Office Manager Mr. Krishan came to us. Even though I am sure he wanted to welcome me, his gesture of offering a handshake has put me at ease since I do not like shaking hands. Moreover, while the receptionist was doing his job and helping me, the Front Office Manager kept interrupting him.
I generally do not prefer to shake hands. However, he offered me a handshake and I observed that he was also shaking hands with several other people. Not everyone is comfortable with handshakes, as personal preferences and boundaries vary. Despite this, he appeared to insist on shaking hands, which made me feel uncomfortable.
Overall, your staff and facilities are good enough but the Front Office Manager's guest services left much to be desired.
Views are great, pool area is nice, food is decent
Staff are a bit rude at times and generally very unhappy and unwelcoming.
Also issue with the fan in the room kept beeping and restarting all night hotel were unavailable to resolve and didn’t offer an alternative room
