It did the job but wouldn't have worked for a holiday break.
Pros:

Lots of character and bar food was good. Breakfast looked excellent but I didn't take it.

Cons:

Fittings in the room were tired - towel rail falling off wall, also bathroom door hook. Water pressure in shower hardly let water out of the shower, and the fibreglass bath under the shower felt unstable. Very limited parking. Its an old building so there being no lift for baggage is understandable.

Angenehme britische Atmosphäre aber leider sehr laut und in die Jahre gekommen
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage zum entdecken und laufen, gutes Essen.

Cons:

Leider ist es sehr laut. Zur einen Seite ein extrem befahrene Straße und auf der anderen Seite Bahngleise, wo die Wände vibrieren wenn die Züge vorbeifahren (sehr häufig 5-10 mal pro Stunde). Die Ausstattung der Bäder ist schon ziemlich alt und Wasserdruck ist fast gar nicht vorhanden.

Worst and most awful Hotel no Pub we’ve stayed in.
Pros:

Clean sheets

Cons:

Boot sale mismatch Furniture. No bedside lamps. Noisy alight with Beer cooler running outside window people came in at 3.30 and put TV on full volume! Booked for Two nights and left after one night. Never go back!!!

Pros:

Right in town, close to the train station.

Cons:

The room looked directly at the train tracks, and the express train passings were numerous and loud. Cramped. Ok if you are on a strict budget, but I would not return.

Needs refurbishment
Pros:

Great location and staff were all very nice and welcoming. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice. Easy parking.

Cons:

The hotel and room were very dated and really need a proper refurbishment. My main problem was the noise from the train tracks which are very close to the hotel. This is an issue if you need to sleep well. They need to invest in double glazed windows. The wc ventilator was extremely noisy and the shower was very difficult to adjust the right temperature. The mattress needed replacement, I could feel the springs hurting me at times. The room was expensive for the value I received.

It was adequate for our needs and handy for our wedding location. Breakfast was good.
Pros:

Parking was good. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The stairs and handrails were poor. Both me and my sister have a condition which makes stairs difficult. The safe in our room was broken, front dial hanging off and the wardrobe door hinge was broken.
